Škoda Elroq's Milestone: 100,000 Units! What's Driving This Success?

Škoda is popping the champagne! The Czech automaker just announced it has produced its 100,000th Elroq, their all-electric compact SUV, since production kicked off in early 2025. The milestone car? A head-turning Mamba Green Škoda Elroq RS. Pretty snazzy, if you ask me.

Škoda Elroq's Milestone: 100,000 Units! What's Dri...

The Elroq, remember, is Škoda's first real mass-produced foray into the EV world. And apparently, it's paying off. Built at the Mladá Boleslav factory on the same flexible line as the Enyaq, the Elroq has already made a splash. In fact, it was the second best-selling electric vehicle (BEV) in Europe for the first nine months of this year. Not bad for a newcomer, eh?

But the accolades don't stop there. This compact electric SUV has also scooped up a Red Dot Design Award and the prestigious "German Car of the Year 2026" award. All this, according to Škoda, highlights the strong and consistent demand for their electric SUVs, both the Elroq and the Enyaq. It certainly suggests they're doing something right.

Germany, Škoda's biggest market, is particularly enamored with the Elroq. It was the best-selling electric vehicle there in April, July, and October. Seriously, that's impressive. This popularity probably contributed to the "German Car of the Year 2026" jury's decision, after evaluating a whopping 80 different new models. Apparently, the Elroq scored particularly well on things like quality, environmental impact, value for money, and, of course, that electric powertrain.

Beyond Germany, the Elroq is also a hit. Both the Elroq and Enyaq consistently ranked in the top 10 best-selling BEVs in Europe. The Elroq even reigns supreme as the best-selling electric model in the Czech Republic, Denmark, and Slovakia. It’s also hanging out in the top three in Austria, the Netherlands, and Switzerland. Seems like it's resonating with drivers across the continent.

And if all that weren't enough, the Škoda Elroq also boasts a 5-star rating from Euro NCAP, the gold standard for crash safety in Europe. It scored a whopping 90 percent in Adult Occupant Protection, acing front and side crash tests, whiplash protection, and multi-collision braking systems. They even got high marks for child safety and pedestrian protection. So it's not just a pretty face; it's a safe one too.

All in all, Škoda seems to be riding the electric wave quite successfully. They delivered around 120,000 all-electric vehicles worldwide in the first nine months of 2025. Clearly, their electric transformation is gaining serious momentum. With flexible production capacity and a solid product, Škoda is positioning itself as a major player in the electric vehicle market, and this 100,000 Elroq milestone is just the beginning.
