Air Force RB Allen's Performance Has Fans Stunned! What's Next?

Air Force's ground game and opportunistic passing attack were simply too much for Colorado State to handle as the Falcons soared to a 42-21 victory Friday, reclaiming the coveted Ram-Falcon Trophy. It was a fitting end to the season for Air Force, and a bitter one for Colorado State who, frankly, looked outmatched from the get-go.

Air Force RB Allen's Performance Has Fans Stunned!...

Owen Allen, the Air Force running back, had a stellar performance, bulldozing his way for 107 yards and finding the end zone twice. But he wasn't alone in the offensive fireworks. Tight end Bruin Fleischmann proved to be a nightmare matchup for the Rams, hauling in two receptions for 61 yards and, remarkably, two touchdowns. That first touchdown, a 55-yard bomb right out of the gate, really set the tone. It signaled that Air Force wasn't messing around.

The Falcons (now 4-8, 3-5 in the Mountain West) were efficient and ruthless, scoring on three of their first four possessions in the first half. They only punted *once* the entire game! That speaks volumes about their offensive dominance. Quarterback Josh Johnson was perfect through the air, completing all four of his passes for 104 yards and two touchdowns. And, as if that wasn't enough, he added another 22 yards and a touchdown on the ground. It's the kind of performance that makes you wonder what could have been if they'd played like this all season.

Meanwhile, on the Colorado State side, Jackson Brousseau did his best to keep the Rams in the game, throwing for 323 yards and two touchdowns, completing a very respectable 28 of 37 passes. But ultimately, it wasn't enough to overcome Air Force's balanced and relentless attack. The loss sealed a dismal season for Colorado State (2-10, 1-7), marking their first 10-loss season since way back in 1988. Ouch. And with their upcoming move to the Pac-12, they're hoping for a fresh start, a chance to turn the page on a season they'd probably rather forget.

With this win, Air Force extends their lead in the all-time series to a commanding 40-22-1. They've also won eight of the last nine meetings against their in-state rivals, further solidifying their dominance in this particular rivalry. You have to wonder what changes Colorado State will make before heading to the Pac-12. They have some soul searching to do. For Air Force, they finish with a positive note, giving their fans something to cheer about as they head into the off-season. A strong finish, even in a rebuilding year, is always a good thing.
