Warframe fans, get ready! Digital Extremes just dropped the release date trailer for 'The Old Peace,' the next major update heading to the ever-evolving world of Warframe. Mark your calendars, Tenno, because it's landing on December 10th!
Warframe: The Old Peace Release Date SHOCKS Fans! ...
For those not already neck-deep in the Origin System, Warframe is a free-to-play, third-person action shooter – think space ninjas with a serious arsenal and a constantly expanding universe. 'The Old Peace' looks to continue that trend, packing a serious punch of new content.
So, what exactly are we getting? Well, the trailer highlighted two brand-new game modes: Descendia and The Perita Rebellion. Details are still a little scarce, but from what I've gleaned, Descendia seems to be some kind of vertical combat challenge, while The Perita Rebellion hints at a story-driven conflict. Intriguing stuff! Plus, they're massively overhauling the Focus School system – something a lot of veterans have been clamoring for. This should really shake up the endgame meta and offer some fresh progression paths.
But wait, there's more! We're also getting Uriel, the demonic new Warframe. The design is seriously cool and menacing. And if you're a fan of the classics, prepare for some Protoframe action, with even more ways to interact with these early iterations of the Warframes. If that wasn't enough, a whole new weapon class is arriving: Bayonets! Because who *doesn't* want to attach a blade to the end of their gun?
I'm personally most excited about the Focus School changes; I've been feeling a bit stagnant with my current build, so a refresh is definitely welcome. The new Warframe looks amazing and I'm eager to see what crazy abilities it brings to the table. It feels like Digital Extremes is really listening to the community and trying to keep things interesting.
Oh, and almost forgot: Voruna Deluxe is also on the way. For those who don't know, Deluxe skins are highly detailed, visually stunning alternate appearances for Warframes. This one is sure to be a showstopper. All this is coming to PlayStation 4, PlayStation 5, Xbox One, Xbox Series X|S, Nintendo Switch, iOS, Android, and PC. So, no matter how you play, you won't miss out.
Importantly, Digital Extremes has also framed "The Old Peace" as a prelude to a larger, Tau-centric expansion slated for 2026. So it sounds like this update is laying the groundwork for an even bigger adventure down the line. Consider this your appetizer before the main course. Keep your eyes peeled Tenno, December 10th is just around the corner!
