Skoda Elroq SHOCK! Production Milestone Reached - What Happens NEXT?!
Automotive 28 November 2025

Hot on the heels of other electric vehicle news, Škoda just announced a pretty impressive achievement: they've cranked out their 100,000th Elroq! For those not in the know, the Elroq is Škoda's very first all-electric compact SUV, and it only started mass production in early 2025. Not bad for such a young model, right?

Skoda Elroq SHOCK! Production Milestone Reached - ...

The lucky 100,000th vehicle? A head-turning Mamba Green Škoda Elroq RS – talk about making a statement! What’s particularly interesting is that the Elroq is the first mass-produced car to sport Škoda’s fresh “Modern Solid” design language. I actually saw a concept rendering of this design philosophy a while back, and I have to say, it translates really well to a production vehicle.

The Elroq is being built at Škoda’s Mladá Boleslav plant, sharing a flexible production line with the Enyaq. This is actually a smart move, strategically. It means they can build both battery electric vehicles (BEVs) and traditional internal combustion engine (ICE) cars on the same line. This gives them the agility to quickly react to changes in market demand, which, let's face it, can be pretty unpredictable these days. Makes you wonder why more manufacturers don't do this.

Apparently, the Elroq has been making waves in the EV world. It was ranked the second most popular electric vehicle in Europe for the first three quarters of 2025. And the accolades keep rolling in – a Red Dot Design Award and even being crowned "German Car of the Year 2026." Not too shabby! These kinds of awards can be a real boost for consumer confidence, I think. It's always nice to see when a car gets this level of recognition, especially a relatively new model.

This production milestone really highlights the strong and sustained demand for Škoda’s electric SUVs – both the Elroq and the Enyaq. Even in Germany, which is Škoda’s largest market, the Elroq is performing exceptionally well. It even topped the charts as Europe’s best-selling electric vehicle in April, July, and October. So, it seems like Škoda's gamble on electric is paying off big time. Keep an eye on them; they might just become a major player in the EV market.
