Exciting news for fans of Prime Video and Nicole Wallace: the upcoming series "Postcards From Italy" has just wrapped filming in Sicily, and seven fresh faces are joining the cast. Wallace, known for her standout role in the steamy "Culpables" trilogy, is leading the charge in this new venture, and honestly, the premise sounds like a delicious mix of drama and Italian scenery.

So, who are these new cast members? We’re talking Sebastiano Pigazzi, Filippo De Carli, Maria Vera Ratti, Niccolò Senni, Vincent Riotta, Paola Minaccioni, and Martina Gatti. While their specific roles are being kept under wraps for now, the ensemble cast suggests a rich tapestry of characters that Mia (Wallace's character) will undoubtedly interact with as she navigates her new life in Palermo.

Speaking of Mia, her story is pretty intriguing. She's a pampered New York heiress, exiled to Sicily by her grandfather and stripped of her lavish lifestyle. Imagine trading designer handbags for…well, real estate brochures? She's forced to work as a real estate agent within the family business, and I'm already picturing the culture clash and personal growth that's sure to follow. It’s a fish-out-of-water story, but with added Italian charm (and likely, some dramatic family secrets thrown in for good measure).

The series is the brainchild of Lisa Riccardi and Damiano Bruè, with Jessica Yu, who's got some impressive credits under her belt ("Quiz Lady," "Only Murders in the Building"), directing. It’s a co-production between Amazon MGM Studios and Gaumont Italia, which should guarantee some serious production value and a truly international feel. The fact that it's filmed entirely on location in Italy is a huge selling point – think breathtaking landscapes and authentic Italian vibes. As a viewer, I'm always a sucker for a well-shot series set in a beautiful location, and Sicily definitely fits the bill.

Prime Video announced "Postcards From Italy" back in October, which coincided with securing a talent agreement with Nicole Wallace. Smart move, Prime Video. Wallace's success with the "Culpables" films, which are apparently their most successful international originals, speaks for itself. The final movie in that trilogy, "Culpa Nuestra," premiered just last month. Beyond that, Wallace is also starring in "The House of Spirits," another Prime Video project filmed in Chile, based on the Isabelle Allende novel. She's definitely a rising star, and "Postcards From Italy" could be her biggest role yet. I am looking forward to seeing how this story unfolds when it drops on Prime Video globally.
