Big changes are afoot at ITV Studios' International Distribution team, folks! It seems the winds of change are blowing eastward, specifically towards the Asia-Pacific region (APAC). Moira Hogan, a name familiar to those in the streaming world, is stepping into the role of Executive Vice President, APAC Sales and Distribution. This is a significant move, as she's replacing Augustus Dulgaro, who's wrapping up an impressive two-decade run with the company.
ITV Shocker: BritBox Boss Jumps Ship! What's Happe...
Hogan's background is certainly interesting. She previously spearheaded BritBox International's operations in Australia, holding the title of Executive Vice President, International Markets & General Manager Australia. However, she departed last October amidst some restructuring happening over at BBC Studios (BBCS), BritBox's parent company. For those of you who might not be completely up-to-date on the streaming landscape, BBCS fully acquired BritBox International last year for a cool £255 million. So, Hogan clearly brings a wealth of experience in navigating the ever-evolving world of content distribution.
She's slated to officially join ITV's production and sales arm in February 2026 – mark your calendars! Hogan will be reporting directly to Tom Clark, EVP, Global Sales & Commercial Strategy. Her responsibilities will encompass leading sales teams based in both Sydney and Singapore. And what exactly will she be selling? Well, think of some of ITV's biggest hits: "Love Island," the new drama "Good Cop Bad Cop," and even the ridiculously titled (but probably popular) "Shark! Celebrity Infested Waters." A diverse portfolio, to say the least!
Dulgaro, the outgoing EVP, will be stepping down at the end of March 2026. Twenty years is a long time to dedicate to one company, especially in the fast-paced entertainment industry. It's always interesting to see these transitions occur, and I'm sure his departure marks the end of an era for ITV in the APAC region.
Tom Clark seems genuinely enthusiastic about Hogan's arrival, describing her as a "champion of British content." He also highlighted her "extensive experience and strong leadership skills," suggesting she's the perfect fit to lead the "dynamic team" in the APAC region. That's high praise indeed! It is also worth noting that Hogan herself also acknowledged Dulgaro's contributions, recognizing that the ITVS APAC business is "in great shape thanks to the care and commitment of Augustus who championed the content and built deep, trusted relationships." Hogan made it clear that she hopes to continue Dulgaro's "legacy." It’s always nice to see outgoing and incoming executives expressing mutual respect and acknowledging past successes. Now, we'll just have to wait and see how Hogan shapes the future of ITV Studios' presence in APAC!
