Wolverine REPLACED?! Hugh Jackman's SHOCK AI Revelation!
Gaming News 24 November 2025

Hugh Jackman is keeping everyone guessing about a potential return as Wolverine in the Marvel Cinematic Universe, especially with the upcoming *Avengers: Doomsday* looming large. After the mega-success of *Deadpool & Wolverine*, which effectively smashed box office records, fans are understandably hungry for more of the clawed mutant.

Wolverine REPLACED?! Hugh Jackman's SHOCK AI Revel...

It's fascinating to see Jackman play coy after so vehemently stating that *Logan* was his final bow as Wolverine. He even reversed that decision for *Deadpool & Wolverine*. That film, let's be honest, printed money – becoming the highest-grossing R-rated flick of all time, raking in over a billion dollars worldwide. You can't blame the guy for hedging his bets now!

The idea of leaving two of the MCU's most popular and *profitable* characters – Wolverine and Deadpool – out of something as huge as *Avengers: Doomsday* or *Secret Wars* just feels...wrong. But both Marvel and Jackman are playing the game, keeping their cards close to their chests. It is, after all, part of the marketing hype.

"Maybe," Jackman said with a sly grin when asked if he'd consider donning the claws again. "I am never saying 'never' ever again. Because I did mean it when I said 'never' until the day when I changed my mind. But I really did, for quite a few years, I meant it." So, basically, he's not ruling it out! Maybe the check was enough. Kidding, sort of.

And then came the kicker. When questioned about Marvel using existing footage of him, Jackman quipped, "A hundred percent. I think I’ve done 10 films, so I think they’ve got enough in there!" Could we see an AI Wolverine cameo? A flashback? The possibilities, while a little unsettling, are endless. Ryan Reynolds, of course, is heavily expected to reprise his role as Deadpool, with rumors swirling that he'll finally be crossing paths with Earth's Mightiest Heroes.

The *Avengers: Doomsday* cast reveal was certainly interesting, with a heavy emphasis on veteran X-Men actors. Kelsey Grammer, Patrick Stewart, Ian McKellen, Alan Cumming, Rebecca Romijn, and James Marsden are all reportedly on board, signaling a significant X-Men presence. This lineup is a bit puzzling. Is *Avengers: Doomsday* secretly morphing into *Avengers vs. X-Men*? I mean, I wouldn't hate it.

While neither Jackman nor Reynolds were initially announced, Channing Tatum, who played Gambit in *Deadpool & Wolverine*, *did* make the cut. Marvel has teased further announcements, and Reynolds himself has dropped hints about some kind of involvement. So, keep those claws crossed, folks. Wolverine might just make his mark on the MCU in a way we never expected.
