Flipping Homes: The Trailer Reveals the SHOCKING Truth!
Gaming News 23 November 2025

Alright folks, buckle up. It looks like the world of infuriatingly difficult platformers is about to get a new contender, and this one...well, it's uniquely frustrating-looking. I'm talking about "Flipping Is Hard," a game where you control a vintage flip phone on a physics-based odyssey. Yes, you read that right. A flip phone.

Now, I've seen my share of games designed to test your patience, from "Getting Over It" to the more recent craze that was "Only Up." It seems the trend of games designed to be punishingly difficult and hilariously frustrating is far from dead. But "Flipping Is Hard" seems to be taking the formula and injecting it with a healthy dose of bizarre charm. The premise? You're a lonely flip phone trying to get back to its owner. The execution? A treacherous journey through levels that look like a childhood fever dream.

Think blanket forts constructed on a scale that would make an ant feel claustrophobic, toy chests overflowing with potentially hazardous playthings, and, my personal favorite, the murky depths of a forgotten refrigerator. Seriously, who hasn't lost something in the back of their fridge, never to be seen again? Now imagine trying to navigate that culinary graveyard as a sentient piece of obsolete technology. The trailer dropped, and it's exactly as chaotic as you'd imagine. Lots of tumbling, lots of near-misses, and the distinct sense that you're going to be uttering words you wouldn't say in front of your grandma.

The gameplay appears to be heavily reliant on physics, meaning that every "flip" of the phone counts. One wrong move and you're plummeting back to the bottom, forced to start your climb all over again. I suspect broken keyboards and rage-quitting will be common occurrences. But hey, that's half the fun, right? At least, that's what I tell myself when I inevitably fail for the 50th time in a row. It's that "one more try" mentality that these games bank on, and frankly, it usually works on me.

If you're brave (or perhaps foolish) enough to take on this challenge, you'll be happy to know that "Flipping Is Hard" is heading to PC. And for those who want to test their sanity early, a three-day playtest kicks off on November 22nd at 12 PM PT. Head over to Steam to sign up. Just remember to breathe, and maybe invest in a stress ball. You'll probably need it.
