2025's Best Cookbooks REVEALED! Food Lovers Will B...

Get ready to fire up those stoves, folks! It's that time of year again, and 2025 has proven to be a veritable feast for cookbook lovers. Hundreds of titles hit the shelves, each vying for a spot on your kitchen counter (and in your belly). But amidst the clamor, a few truly shine. So, ditch the takeout menus and prepare to be inspired – here are some of the best cookbooks and food writing books of the year. And for our All Access members, the exclusive content starts just below!

First up, we have Joshua McFadden's *Six Seasons of Pasta*. McFadden, known for his seasonal approach to cooking (remember *Six Seasons: A New Way with Vegetables*?), has now turned his considerable talents to the world of pasta. The book is brimming with dozens upon dozens of delectable recipes, all organized by the seasonal produce that complements them. What I find particularly interesting – and maybe a little controversial – is McFadden's decision to focus solely on dried pasta. It's a bold move, but one that makes the recipes far more accessible to the average home cook. And let's be honest, we all have a box of dried pasta lurking in the pantry, right? Beyond the practicality, the book itself is a visual delight, and the seasonal organization offers a refreshing perspective on this beloved dish.

Next, a bittersweet addition to our list: *The Bourdain Compendium*. It's been several years since we lost Anthony Bourdain, but his legacy continues to resonate. This unique anthology features a carefully curated selection of his nonfiction and fiction writing. While most remember him for his groundbreaking food shows, Bourdain first captured our attention with his raw and honest memoir, *Kitchen Confidential*. This collection, expertly edited by Kimberly Witherspoon, showcases Bourdain's versatility and his love for experimenting with different writing styles. It's a must-have for any fan and a powerful reminder of his singular voice.

Then there's *Pakistan*, a vibrant celebration of Pakistani cuisine. This cookbook is so much more than just a collection of recipes; it's a journey through the diverse cultures and flavors that make up the region. With over 100 recipes, expect to find incredible curries, tantalizing chutneys, flavorful sauces, and perfectly spiced vegetable dishes. The photography is absolutely stunning, and the cover itself is a work of art. This is one of those cookbooks that you'll want to display proudly on your bookshelf.

Finally, I'm thrilled to see a new cookbook from Julia Turshen: *What Goes With What*. I have to admit, I'm a *huge* fan of Turshen's work. Her cookbook *Simply Julia* was a lifeline during the pandemic, helping me to rethink my approach to food. *What Goes With What* is another testament to her talent, offering practical guidance on ingredient pairings to create delicious and satisfying meals. It's perfect for both novice and experienced cooks looking to expand their culinary horizons. And that's just a taste of the amazing food writing coming out this year!
