Well, folks, get ready for a serious dose of nostalgia! It's been over 20 years since we first saw Jeremy Sumpter and Rachel Hurd-Wood bring Peter Pan and Wendy Darling to life on the big screen, and guess what? They're back together! And this time, it’s for a rom-com, no less.

The new film, titled *Strawberry Roam*, is set to star both Sumpter and Hurd-Wood. But here's the kicker: Sumpter is also making his directorial debut with this project! Talk about taking on a big challenge. I can only imagine the pressure, but if anyone can pull it off, it's someone with his experience in front of the camera.

The buzz is that *Strawberry Roam* will be a lighthearted romantic comedy, a far cry from the swashbuckling adventures of Neverland. It's kind of fun to think about them going from fantasy to something more grounded, more… real. The production team is currently rounding out the rest of the cast, so we’ll keep our ears to the ground and let you know as soon as we hear more names.

Behind the scenes, Paige from Perlino Pictures is producing, along with Johnny Remo of SkipStone Pictures (known for *Hellfire*). Filming is slated to begin this spring in the beautiful landscapes of New Mexico. That location alone suggests some visually stunning shots. I've always thought New Mexico was a great choice for filming locations.

For those of you who need a refresher, Jeremy Sumpter has kept busy since his days as the boy who wouldn't grow up. He's been in films like *Into the Storm* and *Trail of Vengeance*, and of course, *Friday Night Lights*. He's also got an action thriller, *Miami Nights*, coming up with Terrence Howard and Jeremy Piven. It sounds like he's really diversifying his portfolio, and this rom-com directorial debut is just the next step.

And Rachel Hurd-Wood? She’s also been steadily building her acting resume with roles in films like *An American Haunting*, *Perfume: The Story of a Murderer*, and more recently, *The First Omen*. She's always brought a certain depth to her performances, so I'm curious to see what she brings to a romantic comedy.

Sumpter is managed by Play It Forward Entertainment, while Hurd-Wood is repped by Insight Management & Production. This reunion is definitely something to look forward to. It’s always heartwarming to see actors who started out young together reconnect later in their careers. So, keep an eye out for more updates on *Strawberry Roam* – it sounds like it's going to be a sweet one!
