Candace Owens' SHOCK Claim: Did Tragedy Silence Erika Kirk?!

Candace Owens' SHOCK Claim: Did Tragedy Silence Erika Kirk?!
Current Affairs 21 November 2025

The internet is buzzing, and not in a good way. Conservative commentator Candace Owens has ignited a firestorm of controversy following the death of Charlie Kirk, founder of Turning Point USA. Owens has publicly voiced suspicions surrounding the circumstances of Kirk's demise, and her claims have sent shockwaves through political circles and beyond. It's a tangled web of accusations, and frankly, it's getting uglier by the minute.

Candace Owens' SHOCK Claim: Did Tragedy Silence Er...

Owens' primary line of questioning seems to center on Kirk's widow, Erika Kirk. She has highlighted what she describes as "unusual flight path overlaps" involving Erika Kirk and, rather alarmingly, Egyptian military planes. I've seen the alleged flight paths circulating online, and while I'm no aviation expert, they do raise some eyebrows. But correlation doesn't equal causation, as they say.

Adding fuel to the fire, Owens has also expressed skepticism about the official narrative surrounding the identified shooter. She's hinting at a larger conspiracy, suggesting that the person apprehended may not be the sole perpetrator, or perhaps not even involved at all. It’s a bold claim, and one that demands substantial evidence, which, so far, seems to be lacking. This reminds me of some of the other conspiracy theories I’ve covered in the past; it's a slippery slope, folks.

In a recent appearance on Myron Gaines' podcast, Owens stated that she has yet to find any verifiable lies from Erika Kirk. However, she maintains that her focus remains on the individuals surrounding Kirk and the overall "unexplained circumstances" of his death. She even mentioned a message Kirk allegedly sent to someone at Turning Point USA the day before his death, referencing a death threat, which has only deepened her concern. According to Owens, some within Turning Point USA were allegedly ready to make Mikey McCoy the "new Charlie" remarkably soon after Kirk's passing, which she found unsettling.

Owens also addressed Erika Kirk's demeanor, suggesting that her perceived quietness or "coldness" could be a manifestation of shock. She speculated that Erika might be operating on "autopilot" due to fear, a natural reaction, she argues, after witnessing such a traumatic event. It's a compassionate perspective, but one that's been largely overshadowed by the more explosive allegations.

Predictably, Owens' comments have drawn sharp criticism from other prominent conservative figures. Ben Shapiro and Steven Crowder have both accused her of unfairly targeting Erika Kirk. Owens has vehemently denied these accusations, claiming that Shapiro, in particular, is misrepresenting her statements. This whole saga has devolved into a messy back-and-forth, and the truth, as always, seems to be somewhere in the middle. One thing is clear: this story is far from over, and the coming days are likely to bring even more twists and turns.
