Alright gamers, set your alarms – another Xbox Partner Preview is hitting our screens tonight! It feels like just yesterday we were dissecting the last one, but hey, I'm not complaining. More games is always a good thing. This time around, Microsoft is promising a deep dive into several third-party titles heading to PC and the Xbox universe.
Xbox Partner Preview SHOCKER! Did You Miss *THIS* ...
What can we expect? Well, we already know a few names are in the mix. 007 First Light is generating a lot of buzz, as is Tides of Annihilation. And let's not forget Reanimal, which has been quietly simmering in the background. But, and this is the exciting part, Microsoft is teasing "brand-new reveals and Game Pass announcements." That, my friends, is where the real magic happens. I'm personally hoping for some surprises; something completely out of left field that gets everyone talking. Maybe a new IP, or perhaps a beloved franchise making an unexpected comeback?
The livestream is being hosted by Jennifer English, the voice actress behind Gwendolyn in Tides of Annihilation. A smart choice, I think. It's always great to see the talent behind the games getting some time in the spotlight. For those who want to watch live, I will publish the YouTube link and make sure to update this space with all the important information. If not, you can keep hitting F5 and refreshing to find all the information here.
One of the first big reveals was Armatus, the new project from Counterplay Games, the studio behind Godfall. It's described as a gothic-horror game, and from the initial footage, it certainly looks the part. Expect a dark, gritty, and atmospheric experience as you, playing a mysterious warrior, battle demonic forces in the ruined streets of Paris. This one has definitely piqued my interest. I'm always a sucker for a good gothic horror title.
Also unveiled was a new trailer for The Mound: Omen of Cthulu. As the name suggests, it's leaning heavily into Lovecraftian horror, and this time, with a co-op twist! So you won't have to face cosmic terror alone. The trailer showcased some unsettling visuals and hinted at the sanity-bending mysteries that await. I like that they're leaning into the co-op aspect, since a shared sense of dread can often amplify the scariness.
Stay tuned folks, because this space will be constantly updating. Expect a lot more throughout the night. There will be more details, trailers, and maybe even a few surprise announcements that we didn't see coming. Keep your eyes glued to your screens, and let's see what Xbox has in store for us!
