Black Ops 7 Update: Zombies Grind HALVED! Crash Fixes Save the Game!
Gaming News 20 November 2025

Alright, camo grinders, rejoice! The latest patch for Call of Duty: Black Ops 7 is here, and it’s bringing some much-needed relief to those of us tirelessly chasing those elusive weapon skins. It seems Activision has heard our collective groans, finally addressing some of the most frustrating camo challenges, particularly in Zombies.

Black Ops 7 Update: Zombies Grind HALVED! Crash Fi...

For those of you who’ve been banging your heads against a wall trying to unlock certain Zombie camos, you’ll be happy to hear that some were, apparently, bugged. The patch notes mention that these were unintentionally *three times* harder to unlock than they should have been. Ouch. While the specific weapon and camo combinations haven’t been listed, the change should definitely make things a little less painful. We've all been there, right? Staring blankly at the screen wondering if we're going crazy.

But the relief doesn't stop there. The patch also addresses issues with the Zombies "mutilate" challenges, another common source of frustration. And for multiplayer fans wielding the XR-3 ION, you'll be pleased to know that the camo requirements have been adjusted. Instead of relying on tricky one-shot kills (a real pain with a burst-fire weapon), you can now unlock those camos with good old-fashioned headshots. Much more manageable, in my opinion. Honestly, I'm just happy they listened to the community on this one.

Beyond the cosmetic tweaks, this patch also tackles a major issue plaguing players across all game modes: crashes. Nobody likes losing progress, especially during an intense Zombies run or a nail-biting endgame campaign mission. Speaking of the campaign, the patch specifically addresses a bug that was kicking players out of endgame matches under certain extraction conditions. That's a huge win for anyone trying to conquer that daunting challenge.

Black Ops 7, while offering a pretty solid, fast-paced experience, has been a bit of an enigma in terms of popularity. While Activision has publicly expressed satisfaction with the game’s reception, the feeling from the community, and the lack of concrete sales numbers, suggests it might not be reaching the heights of its predecessors. Still, this patch shows they are listening, and working to address at least some of the players' complaints.

Ultimately, this patch seems focused on smoothing out some of the rougher edges of Black Ops 7, both in terms of gameplay and stability. If you've been holding off due to frustrating camo grinds or frequent crashes, now might be a good time to jump back in. Happy hunting, soldiers!
