Switch 2 Gamers, Rejoice! 512GB MicroSD Deal on Amazon - $75?!
Gaming News 20 November 2025

Black Friday is officially heating up, and for those lucky enough to snag a Nintendo Switch 2, or planning to, this deal is a must-see. Amazon is currently offering the Samsung 512GB P9 microSD Express Card for a mere $75, slashed down from its usual $100. Considering this card just launched earlier this month, that's a pretty significant discount right out of the gate.

Switch 2 Gamers, Rejoice! 512GB MicroSD Deal on Am...

Why should Switch 2 owners care? Well, the Switch 2 comes with a respectable 256GB of internal storage. That's a huge improvement over previous Switch models, no doubt. But let's be real, with the graphical power jump comes larger game file sizes. Think about it: games are only getting bigger, and you'll fill that space faster than you think.

To put it into perspective, some rumored Switch 2 game sizes are already floating around. We're talking about potential titles like "Hyrule Warriors: Age of Imprisonment" clocking in at a hefty 43.4GB, and even "Metroid Prime 4: Beyond" supposedly taking up 31.6GB. Even seemingly smaller titles like "Kirby Air Riders" are projected around 21.7GB. Suddenly, 256GB doesn't seem quite so spacious, does it?

That's where microSD Express cards come in. The Switch 2 is the first major console to adopt this ultra-fast storage format, and while the market is still somewhat limited, these cards offer a significant performance boost compared to older microSD cards. Think faster loading times and smoother gameplay, especially for those graphically demanding titles. And, hey, more space means more games downloaded and ready to play on the go.

Beyond the 512GB, the 256GB P9 is also on sale for $47.49, down from $55. If you’re on a tighter budget or think 256GB is sufficient for now, that’s a solid option as well. While you're at it, keep an eye on the Lexar Play Pro microSD Express cards. The 512GB model is available for $99.49 (was $120), and the 256GB is down to $49.49 (was $60). I will note, the 1TB Lexar remains at $200, so the Samsung deal is clearly the best value for 512GB right now.

Honestly, seeing a discount this steep on a brand new microSD Express card this early in the Black Friday season is a bit surprising. If you’re even remotely considering expanding your Switch 2 storage, I wouldn’t hesitate. Deals like this tend to disappear quickly. Go grab that Samsung card while you can!
