Family Guy Takes a Bite Out of Holiday Cliches in Upcoming Special
Okay, folks, brace yourselves. If you're already feeling the saccharine overload of holiday movie season, you're definitely going to appreciate what's coming. The trailer just dropped for the *Family Guy* Holiday Special 2025, and it looks like they're aiming for the jugular… of every single cheesy holiday movie trope imaginable.
Griffin Family Chaos Erupts in First Look at Holid...
The special, officially titled *Disney’s Hulu’s Family Guy’s Hallmark Channel’s Lifetime’s Familiar Holiday Movie for Family Guy*, (yes, really) is set to hit Hulu and Hulu on Disney+ on November 28th. And honestly, the title alone should give you a pretty good idea of what you're in for.
The premise
The premise? Hilariously predictable. Lois, seemingly channeling her inner corporate Grinch, works for a company called "Big Pie" (subtle, I know). Her mission? To travel to some quaint, snow-dusted small town and swindle Peter out of his award-winning family secret pie recipe. I mean, come on, you practically *have* to laugh.
The usual *Family Guy* gang is all back, of course. Seth MacFarlane, Alex Borstein, Seth Green, Mila Kunis, and Arif Zahir lend their voices, plus Lainey Wilson is along for the ride. MacFarlane also serves as creator and executive producer, so you know the show's signature brand of irreverent humor will be in full force. Production is helmed by Rich Appel and Alec Sulkin.
The best part about *Family Guy* is its willingness to push boundaries. Holiday movies tend to lean heavily into sentimentality, and while that can be nice, let's face it, it can also be ridiculously predictable. This special promises a much-needed dose of cynical cheer.
Honestly, I'm looking forward to seeing how they manage to skewer Hallmark, Lifetime, *and* Disney all at once. It's a tall order, but if anyone can pull it off, it's the *Family Guy* crew. Consider this my official endorsement: clear your calendars for November 28th and prepare for a holiday special that's anything but familiar. You might even need a palate cleanser after – maybe a slice of something… *pie-flavored*? Just don't let Lois get her hands on your recipe.
