'The Morning Show' Finale Leaves Us Hanging: Will Mia and Ben Save UBN?

Okay, spoiler alert, folks! If you haven't watched the Season 4 finale of Apple TV+'s "The Morning Show," titled "Knowing Violation," you might want to bookmark this and come back later. Because we're diving deep into the fallout.

Behind-the-Scenes Drama! "The Morning Show" Showru...

This season ended with a bang, didn't it? Celine Dumont (Marion Cotillard) essentially confessed to pulling the strings at UBN, leaving a massive power vacuum and a network in desperate need of repair. The real question now is, who's going to pick up the pieces?

According to showrunner Charlotte Stoudt, it

According to showrunner Charlotte Stoudt, it looks like Mia (Karen Pittman) and Ben (William Jackson Harper) are primed for bigger roles. I mean, let’s be honest, they’re probably the two most competent people left at the network! Stoudt even teased a potential "dance" between them, hinting at a developing dynamic after their initial clashes over Alex’s (Jennifer Aniston) departure. Remember that whole disagreement about airing Alex's press conference? Ben trusted Celine, while Mia was in on the plan to expose her. Awkward!

But get this: Stoudt hinted that next season, things are going to "get interesting between them" – potentially even a dinner date while Ben’s covering the Olympics. I’m already picturing the sparks (or maybe just the tension) flying.

And what about Stella (Greta Lee)? Stoudt seems to leave the door open for a possible return, highlighting the Stella-Mia dynamic and suggesting that Stella's departure might have inadvertently pushed Mia to realize her own ambitions. "Maybe I wanted the wrong job," Mia seems to be contemplating as she stands at Stella's and then Celine’s desk in the finale. Intrigued? Me too.

Of course, there are some unknowns

Of course, there are some unknowns. Miles (Aaron Pierre), who sat between Celine and Stella in the hierarchy, might not be around. Stoudt mentioned Pierre landed a role in a Star Wars movie, making his return to "The Morning Show" a bit uncertain. Aww!

It also sounds like Bro Hartman's (Desean Terry) political aspirations might not make the cut, at least not immediately. Stoudt didn't elaborate, but election coverage might have been left on the cutting room floor.

And let's not forget John Hamm's smarmy Paul Marks. He'll be back, apparently playing a significant role, especially in relation to Alex. I have a feeling that relationship is far from over – expect fireworks!

Honestly, the finale left me with more questions than answers, which is exactly what a good season finale should do. I am truly looking forward to seeing how Mia and Ben navigate their new roles and whether they can steer UBN out of this mess. One thing's for sure, Season 5 promises to be a wild ride.
