Gabriel Beristain to Direct Psychological Thriller "Mia: See Clearly"
Golsa Sarabi Stars in Gabriel Beristain's Mind-Ben...
Director and cinematographer Gabriel Beristain, known for his work on blockbusters like "The Beekeeper" and "Black Widow," is set to direct the psychological thriller "Mia: See Clearly," starring Golsa Sarabi. Sarabi's production company, Golsa Enterprises, will produce the film, which Sarabi also co-wrote with Beristain. The project is a collaborative effort, conceived by Sarabi, Behnam Mokri, and Nicholas Charlsen.
A Story Rooted in History
While the film is set in a near-future world heavily influenced by technology and surveillance, its inspiration lies in the real-life events following the Iranian Revolution over four decades ago. The producers have stated that the film explores the themes of visibility, truth, and the consequences of witnessing difficult realities in a world that often demands silence. "Mia's struggle to reclaim her reflection mirrors that generation's unspoken legacy: the cost of seeing too much in a world that demanded blindness," they explained.
Beristain's involvement marks a reunion with Golsa Enterprises, having previously collaborated on the short film "The Persian Rug." He expressed his enthusiasm for the project, stating, "'Mia: See Clearly' pushes boundaries both visually and emotionally, and I’m excited to bring that vision to life through cinematic storytelling."
Sarabi Praises Beristain's Vision
Sarabi, both the star and co-writer of the film, lauded Beristain's artistic and technical capabilities. "Gabriel brings to the film a rare combination of artistic courage and technical mastery. His incredible ability to capture emotional truth through the lens is extraordinary," she commented. The film promises to be a visually and emotionally compelling exploration of identity and the power of perception in a world saturated with information and control.
Pre-production for "Mia: See Clearly" is scheduled to begin in February, promising a gripping narrative brought to life by a talented team. The combination of Beristain's visual expertise and Sarabi's nuanced performance is expected to deliver a thought-provoking cinematic experience.
