Hanwha Life Invests in Future Fintech Leaders with Vietnamese Student Program

Seoul, South Korea – Hanwha Life Insurance is taking a proactive step in fostering the next generation of fintech innovators with a five-day intensive program for 30 exceptional students from Vietnam. The initiative, which kicked off this week, falls under Hanwha Life's broader global corporate social responsibility program, FuturePlus, and underscores the company's commitment to developing financial literacy and technological expertise in Southeast Asia.

The hand-picked cohort comprises some of Vietnam's brightest minds, including winners of the prestigious Vietnamese Olympiad in Informatics, top-performing students from the fintech department at the Vietnam-Korea University of Information and Communication Technology (VKU), and scholarship recipients specializing in finance and ICT from Ho Chi Minh City University of Technology.

The program commenced with a welcoming ceremony held at Hanwha Life's headquarters in Seoul, housed within the iconic 63 Building. Following the introduction, the students embarked on a deep dive into Korea's vibrant startup landscape with a visit to DreamPlus Gangnam, Hanwha Life's open innovation hub. There, they witnessed firsthand the cutting-edge advancements being made in the fintech sector.

Beyond observation, the program offers invaluable learning opportunities. The students are participating in lectures organized by Hanwha Life's artificial intelligence (AI) division, as well as sessions led by external experts. These lectures focus on the transformative potential of AI in revolutionizing insurance services and other financial applications.

The program extends beyond the corporate sphere, incorporating academic exploration. On Wednesday, the group visited two of South Korea's leading universities, Korea University and Sogang University, for specialized lectures and campus tours. This experience is designed to provide academic inspiration and foster cross-cultural understanding, enriching their perspectives and broadening their horizons.
