Unveiled globally at the iconic Goldstein House in Los Angeles, the Ioniq 9 boasts a design heavily inspired by mid-century modern architecture. This influence translates into a spacious and versatile interior, capable of comfortably seating six or seven passengers. The flat floor design maximizes interior space, while the relaxation-featured seats in the first and second rows can fully recline, transforming the vehicle into a mobile lounge, ideal for resting during charging stops.
A key highlight is the innovative
A key highlight is the innovative "Universal Island 2.0" console. This movable console, offering both storage and armrests, enhances accessibility and comfort for both front and second-row passengers. The console can slide forward up to 190 mm, providing easy access to the second row. Storage is ample, with 5.6 liters in the upper section and a generous 12.6 liters in the lower sliding section.
The Ioniq 9 doesn't compromise on practicality. With the third-row seats folded flat, the trunk expands to a substantial 1,323 liters. Even with all three rows in use, it offers a respectable 620 liters of cargo space. Further enhancing practicality, the front trunk provides an additional 88 liters of storage in the rear-wheel-drive version and 52 liters in the all-wheel-drive model.
Powering the Ioniq 9 is a high-voltage, floor-mounted 110.3 kWh NCM lithium-ion battery. Hyundai anticipates a range of 620 km (WLTP with 19-inch wheels) and an energy consumption of 194 Wh/km, thanks to the vehicle's aerodynamic design and advanced battery technology. The Ioniq 9 also boasts rapid charging capabilities, able to charge from 10% to 80% in just 24 minutes using a 350 kW charger. Its platform supports vehicle-to-load (V2L) functionality and 400V/800V multiple charging, adding to its versatility.
Performance varies depending on the configuration
Performance varies depending on the configuration. The Long-Range RWD model features a 160 kW rear motor, while Performance AWD models utilize 160 kW motors on both the front and rear axles. The Performance model accelerates from 0 to 100 km/h in a brisk 5.2 seconds, while the Long-Range AWD variant achieves the same in 6.7 seconds. The Long-Range RWD version completes the sprint in 9.4 seconds.
With its blend of spaciousness, advanced technology, and impressive electric performance, the Hyundai Ioniq 9 is poised to make a significant impact on the Turkish automotive market, offering a compelling option for families seeking a premium and sustainable transportation solution. The inclusion of active noise cancellation and a 12.3-inch infotainment screen further underscores its premium positioning.
