Avenue Six Studios Offers Full Financing to Lure Film & TV Productions Back to California

Van Nuys-based Avenue Six Studios, owned by SP Media Group, is rolling out an ambitious new financing program designed to attract film and television productions to its California soundstages. The initiative, spearheaded by veteran producer and SP Media Group Chairman and CEO Steven Paul, aims to provide comprehensive support, potentially covering up to 100% of total production costs for projects utilizing the studio's facilities and services.

The move represents a significant investment in the local filmmaking ecosystem, signaling a desire to revitalize Hollywood production. Beyond financial backing, the program offers access to a complete suite of in-house services. This includes everything from state-of-the-art camera equipment and lighting to grip and electric services, set design and construction, wardrobe and props, and comprehensive post-production editing and audio facilities. This "one-stop shop" approach is designed to streamline the production process and make Avenue Six Studios a particularly attractive option for filmmakers.

The initiative comes on the heels

The initiative comes on the heels of a broader effort by SP Media Group to advocate for policies supporting domestic film and television production. Earlier this year, Paul, along with Hollywood Ambassador Jon Voight, met with former President Donald Trump to present a "Make Hollywood Great Again" plan. The duo, alongside SP Media Group/Atlas Comics President Scott Karol, have also been actively lobbying for federal legislation, particularly the extension and enhancement of Section 181 incentives. These tax benefits are crucial for keeping productions within the United States, combating the allure of international locations offering more favorable financial conditions.

"Avenue Six is now a one-stop shop, and this financing initiative reinforces our commitment to bringing production back to Los Angeles," stated Steven Paul. "By combining world-class facilities with accessible financing, we're making it easier than ever for filmmakers to create high-quality content right here at home."

The program's success hinges on its ability to effectively compete with other production hubs offering competitive incentives. However, the combination of comprehensive financing, state-of-the-art facilities, and a commitment to streamlining the production process positions Avenue Six Studios as a strong contender in the ongoing battle for film and television projects. The initiative could represent a significant step towards bolstering the California film industry and attracting talent back to the heart of Hollywood.
