Crimson Desert: Jaw-Dropping Specs REVEALED! Can Your PC Handle It?!
Gaming News 11 March 2026

The wait is almost over! Pearl Abyss has finally dropped the official hardware specs for *Crimson Desert*, their highly anticipated open-world RPG, just ahead of its March 19th release. This is great news, because now those of us itching to jump into this sprawling world can finally figure out if our rigs are up to snuff. Whether you're a dedicated PC gamer, a console loyalist, or even thinking of playing on the go with the ROG Ally, there's something here for everyone. Let's dive into the details!

Crimson Desert: Jaw-Dropping Specs REVEALED! Can Y...

First up, the PC specifications. Pearl Abyss has helpfully provided performance targets, allowing you to aim for the visual fidelity and frame rates that best suit your hardware and preferences. At the bare minimum, you'll need an AMD Radeon RX 5500 XT or Nvidia GeForce GTX 1060 paired with an AMD Ryzen 5 2600X or Intel i5-8500 to achieve an upscaled 1080p (from 900p) experience at 30 FPS. Honestly, that sounds a little rough, but at least it's playable! For a smoother 1080p at 60 FPS, or even 4K at 30 FPS, they recommend stepping up to an AMD Radeon RX 6700 XT or Nvidia GeForce RTX 2080, alongside an AMD Ryzen 5 5600 or Intel i5-11600K. And for the truly hardcore, aiming for 1440p at 60 FPS or even a glorious 4K at 60 FPS, you're looking at some serious firepower: think AMD Radeon RX 7700 XT or Nvidia GeForce RTX 4070 (for 1440p), and AMD Radeon RX 9070 or Nvidia GeForce RTX 5070 Ti (for Ultra). Don't forget the 16GB of RAM and a hefty 150 GB SSD requirement, plus Windows 10 64-bit 22H2 or newer.

Moving on to consoles, *Crimson Desert* appears to be taking full advantage of the current generation's capabilities. PlayStation 5 owners will have a range of options, from a performance-focused 1080p/60 FPS mode with low ray tracing, to a quality-driven upscaled 4K/30 FPS mode with high ray tracing. The PS5 Pro, unsurprisingly, bumps things up a notch, offering an Ultra ray tracing option at 4K/30 FPS. Xbox Series X and S users also get a similar array of choices, although the Series S understandably targets lower resolutions and disables ray tracing in some modes. It's great to see this kind of optimization, allowing players to tailor the experience to their specific hardware.

And finally, for those who prefer gaming on the go, the ROG Ally is also getting some *Crimson Desert* love. The standard ROG Ally aims for 720p at 40 FPS with FSR 3 Frame Generation, while the upcoming ROG Ally X promises upscaled 1080p (from 720p) at 60 FPS with FSR 3 Super Resolution/Frame Generation in its performance mode. Of course, both versions will need that 150GB of storage. I'm genuinely impressed that they're targeting playable frame rates on a handheld device. This is a big undertaking, and it's definitely something to look forward to come March 19th! Now, time to see if my rig needs an upgrade...
