MAN Turkey Shake-Up! 2 Key Moves That Could Change Everything!
Automotive 09 March 2026

Big moves are afoot at MAN Türkiye, the Turkish arm of commercial vehicle giant MAN Truck & Bus. It seems they're reshuffling the deck chairs, so to speak, with two key appointments in their sales management team, effective March 1st, 2026. This comes as part of a broader restructuring aimed at boosting sales performance and fostering, as they put it, "sustainable growth." It's always interesting to see how these internal shifts play out in the real world, especially in a market as dynamic as Turkey.

MAN Turkey Shake-Up! 2 Key Moves That Could Change...

The first major change sees Cumhur Kutlubay taking on a significantly expanded role. He's now the Director of Bus and HTA (presumably Heavy Truck Application) Sales. Kutlubay was already managing HTA and used vehicle sales, so this adds the entire bus sales operation to his portfolio. This move follows the retirement of Can Cansu, who dedicated many years to leading bus sales. I've always found the bus market particularly fascinating – it's a really visible indicator of economic activity and infrastructure development in a country.

So, Kutlubay, a graduate of Middle East Technical University and with an MBA from the University of Hartford (impressive credentials!), will now oversee both the light commercial vehicle segment and the strategic direction of bus sales. Before joining MAN Türkiye in 2010, he actually worked as a financial analyst and logistics manager in the US, giving him a pretty diverse background to draw from.

The second key appointment is Özgür Özdil, who has been promoted from Used Truck Sales Manager to Director of Used Sales. This is a well-deserved promotion for Özdil. He's now responsible for all used vehicle operations under MAN's TopUsed brand, encompassing trucks, buses, and light commercial vehicles. It’s a pretty big leap in responsibility. He'll be taking over from Kutlubay in this role.

The aim here, according to the company, is to strengthen coordination between the different segments within the used sales organization and contribute to overall growth strategies. Given the increasing importance of the used vehicle market, especially with concerns around sustainability and affordability, this seems like a very strategic move. A strong used sales operation can be a real asset for a company like MAN.

MAN Kamyon ve Otobüs Ticaret A.Ş. issued a statement thanking Can Cansu for his years of service and wishing both Cumhur Kutlubay and Özgür Özdil success in their new roles. It remains to be seen how these changes will impact MAN Türkiye's market share and overall performance, but it certainly indicates a proactive approach to adapting to the ever-changing demands of the commercial vehicle industry in Turkey.
