Warframe Switch 2 Upgrade RELEASE DATE?! + Dead by Daylight Mode SHOCK!
Gaming News 02 March 2026

Warframe fans, rejoice! The wait is nearly over. After months of speculation and anticipation, Digital Extremes has officially announced that Warframe will be launching on the Nintendo Switch 2 on March 25th. Remember back in July when Digital Extremes' CEO, Steve Sinclair, was practically giddy about the prospect of pushing the Switch 2 to its absolute limits? Well, that vision is about to become reality.

Warframe Switch 2 Upgrade RELEASE DATE?! + Dead by...

To celebrate this momentous occasion, Digital Extremes is showering players with goodies. Anyone who logs in between March 25th and April 15th will snag the Ambimanus Pack. This bundle includes the Vericres Warfan weapon, a stylish Akomeogi Warfan weapon skin, the essential Slicing Feathers Stance Mod, and those always-welcome Affinity and Credit boosters. It's basically a welcome wagon full of firepower and progression boosts – a great way to kickstart your Switch 2 Warframe journey.

But wait, there's more! The Switch 2 launch isn't just a port; it's coinciding with the release of Warframe's newest major update: "The Shadowgrapher." This update, also dropping on March 25th for all platforms, promises a hefty dose of fresh content and some serious overhauls to existing systems. The real head-turner, however, is a brand-new game mode called Follie's Hunt.

Follie's Hunt is where things get really interesting. Described as Warframe's take on 4v1 asymmetric multiplayer survival horror, it pits four players against Follie in a deadly game of cat and mouse. The objective? Complete unfinished paintings scattered throughout the ruins of the Vesper Relay. The more paintings completed, the more aggressive Follie becomes, making each match a thrilling race against time and terror. Digital Extremes is also throwing in randomized mission hazards and enemy effects, so no two matches will ever be quite the same. It's a pretty smart way to spice things up and keep players on their toes. Plus, let's be honest, who doesn't love a good dose of asymmetrical horror?

And speaking of Follie, she's not just a villain; she's also Warframe's 64th playable Warframe. I'm personally very curious to see what her abilities will be. Digital Extremes has a habit of making each Warframe unique, so Follie is sure to bring some interesting new mechanics to the table.

Finally, for those of you planning your summer gaming adventures, don't forget that Warframe's annual TennoCon fan convention is happening on July 10th-11th in London, Ontario. Tickets are available now on Eventbrite. It's always a fantastic event, a great chance to meet fellow Tenno, and to get a sneak peek at what Digital Extremes has in store for the future. With the Switch 2 launch and "The Shadowgrapher" update on the horizon, this year's TennoCon is shaping up to be something special.
