Pokemon Fans REJOICE! The ULTIMATE Tier List is HERE!
Gaming News 28 February 2026

Okay, folks, brace yourselves. Pokémon, that pocket-sized monster phenomenon, is officially creeping up on 30 years old. I know, right? Where did the time go? For many of us here, and probably for you too, Pokémon has been a constant companion, a pixelated pal always evolving alongside us. It’s seen us through awkward phases, triumphs, and questionable fashion choices. And just like us, the franchise has grown and changed, sometimes almost beyond recognition.

Pokemon Fans REJOICE! The ULTIMATE Tier List is HE...

So, to celebrate this milestone (and with the next generation looming, which is honestly wild to think about), we decided to embark on a vital, scientific quest: to compile a definitive list of the best Pokémon. Now, I know what you’re thinking: “How did they decide? Statistical dominance? Pure popularity? Or maybe the most tragically overlooked underdog?” Well, here’s the honest truth: I pretty much just told my colleagues to shout out their favorites. That's it. Was it rigorous? Probably not. Is it subjective? Absolutely. But that's part of the beauty of Pokémon; everyone has a soft spot for a specific one.

And that brings us to our first selection: the magnificent, the towering, the undeniably bizarre Alolan Exeggutor. Chris Pereira put it best: "Many Pokémon have eye-catching designs, but Alolan Exeggutor truly makes you stop and stare. Its majesty and lack of grace evoke a range of emotions. Alolan Exeggutor is spectacular, and at least one of its faces suggests pure joy. Because of that, no other Pokémon fills me with such delight every time I see it.” Seriously, who can argue with that? That long neck, that vacant stare… it’s a masterpiece of design, in its own strange way.

Next up, we have Dragapult, the stealthy, speedy Dragon-Ghost type. Jessica, one of our resident Pokémon experts, is practically obsessed. “Since its debut in *Sword and Shield*, Dragapult has amassed a dedicated following thanks to its incredible speed and immunity to Fighting- and Normal-type attacks. But that's not the only reason I'm obsessed with this cool Pokémon (yes, I know it's nearly 10 feet tall, but spiritually it's small). I'm captivated by Dragapult's design and the intricate reasoning behind it." It's not just cool; it's based on a prehistoric amphibian, the Diplocaulus, and even incorporates elements of the Northrop B-2 Spirit stealth bomber! Mind. Blown. So many little details combine to make this guy a champion. I myself am a big Dragapult fan, for its power and style.

So, there you have it: two of our top Pokémon, chosen by our very scientific (ahem) method. But what are YOUR favorites? Let us know in the comments below! And here's to another 30 years of pocket monsters, questionable evolutions, and endless debates about which Pokémon is truly the best.
