LONDON FASHION WEEK A/W 2026
Fashion & Style 25 February 2026

London Fashion WEEK A/W 2026 – and the city is buzzing! This year's edition felt like a real return to form, a much-needed injection of energy after the digital-heavy seasons of recent memory. With a noticeable jump in live attendees and a palpable sense of excitement, it's clear London's fashion scene is back, baby! Cecile Paul's report for Pynck highlights the key players, and frankly, she's spot on. Let's dive in.

LONDON FASHION WEEK A/W 2026

The big names didn't disappoint. TEMPERLEY LONDON, ERDEM, EMILIA WICKSTEAD, SIMONE ROCHA, and BURBERRY all delivered collections that showcased the breadth and depth of British talent. From Hollywood glamour to Celtic mythology, there was something for everyone. What particularly struck me was the renewed focus on craftsmanship and storytelling – designers weren't just presenting clothes, they were building worlds.

Temperley London, as Paul notes, was pure Hollywood gold. Think Greta Garbo, think Marlene Dietrich – that sophisticated, slightly dangerous allure. Alice Temperley knows her customer, and she knows how to make them feel like a star. The leopard print fur coats were a definite highlight, adding a touch of decadent luxury to those already stunning gowns. The art deco influences were subtle but effective, creating a cohesive and undeniably glamorous collection.

Erdem, on the other hand, took us on a historical journey. Their anniversary collection was a sumptuous feast of silks, satins, and brocades, evoking the spirit of writers, poets, and artists of eras past. It was romantic, theatrical, and utterly enchanting. And those denim jeans thrown in for good measure? A brilliant touch of modern practicality that grounded the collection and made it feel relevant for today's woman. I'm always impressed by Erdem's ability to weave intricate narratives through their designs.

What's clear this season is that designers are embracing escapism, offering audiences a much-needed respite from the everyday. Whether it's the silver screen glamour of Temperley or the historical fantasy of Erdem, London Fashion Week A/W 2026 provided a welcome dose of beauty and inspiration. And frankly, after the last few years, who couldn't use a little bit of that?
