The unsung heroes of the entertainment industry are finally getting their due! The Global Entertainment Awards (GEA) have just announced their regional winners for 2026, recognizing the brilliance of the marketing and promotion teams behind some of the biggest names in movies, television, gaming, and streaming. And yours truly got the exclusive scoop on some of the highlights.

'Squid Game' Wins Big! Global Awards Surprise Fans...

It's fascinating to see how much goes into making us aware of, and excited about, the shows and movies we love. This year's submissions really showcased the rapid evolution of the industry and the incredible creativity involved. As GEA CEO Tim Cole put it, "The creativity, strategic precision and technological ambition we’ve seen this year is exceptional." He’s not wrong! These aren't just ads; they're carefully crafted experiences designed to grab our attention and draw us in.

Netflix's *Squid Game*, still riding high even into its (hypothetical) third season, unsurprisingly snagged multiple awards. RAVE Collective walked away with Best Motion Poster (Asia) for their work on the show's promotional materials. Seriously, those posters are eye-catching! They know exactly how to tease us and keep us hooked. Trailer Park Group earned Best AV Campaign (Europe) for the Disney+ show, *A Thousand Blows*, which clearly had a fantastic marketing push behind it.

In the realm of cinema, *Tron: Ares* secured Best Digital Out Of Home for Blacklist's innovative work, and RAVE Collective scored again with Best Motion Poster (Europe) for *Avatar: Fire and Ash*. It seems RAVE Collective really dominated the Motion Poster categories. And who can resist a bit of *Bluey*? BBC Studios Creative won Best 360 Campaign (Europe) for their work on the beloved children's series. I know my niece is absolutely obsessed with that show, so clearly, they're doing something right!

But it's not just about the big streaming giants and blockbuster movies. Warner Bros. Discovery also earned a win for a *Friends* social media spot (North America), proving that even classic shows can benefit from a smart digital campaign. Other notable wins include Paramount+ Australia’s efforts for *Playing Gracie Darling* (Best AV Campaign Asia Pacific) and *Stream On!* (Best Trailer Asia Pacific), and TEA's *A Minecraft Movie* for Best OOH/Outdoor Advertising (North America).

For those wanting a deep dive, the full list of winners across Cinema, Games, and Streaming is available on the GEA website. Trust me, it's worth checking out to appreciate the sheer talent and innovation behind these campaigns. It’s a testament to the fact that making something great is only half the battle; you need equally brilliant minds to get the word out and get people excited. Congratulations to all the winners!
