Royal Secrets Exposed! Shocking Files on Prince Andrew to be Released!
Current Affairs 25 February 2026

LONDON – The aftershocks from the Jeffrey Epstein scandal just keep on coming, folks. And this time, the British government is feeling the tremors. They've promised to release a trove of documents related to Prince Andrew's past as a trade envoy, a role he held for a decade, from 2001 to 2011.

Royal Secrets Exposed! Shocking Files on Prince An...

Now, this isn't just about some dusty old files. The release comes amid a growing storm fueled by the recent unsealing of millions of documents in the US linked to the late, infamous sex offender Epstein. It's like peeling back layers of an onion – each new revelation seems to sting a little more. And in this case, it's putting immense pressure on Prime Minister Keir Starmer and his Labour government.

The heat is definitely on. Not only is Prince Andrew under renewed scrutiny, but so is former minister Peter Mandelson. Both are currently subjects of high-profile police investigations, adding another layer of complexity to the whole messy affair. You can bet the political maneuvering is intense behind the scenes.

Chris Bryant, a government minister, told parliament that they'd be releasing vetting documents tied to Andrew Mountbatten-Windsor's time as trade envoy. Now, I have to say, "Mountbatten-Windsor" sounds so much more formal than "Prince Andrew," doesn't it? Almost like they're trying to distance themselves already. But back to the point – this announcement was prompted, in part, by the Liberal Democrats using a pretty rare parliamentary procedure to force the government's hand. They wanted these files, and they weren't going to back down. These documents apparently go back 26 years, all the way to Tony Blair's time as Prime Minister.

Bryant didn't mince words either. He said publishing the documents was "the least we owe the victims" of Epstein, which is powerful stuff. And then, he went on to describe Prince Andrew as "a rude, arrogant and entitled man." Ouch! You don't often hear such blunt assessments from government officials, especially about members of the royal family. It really underscores the seriousness of the situation. It's almost as if the government are actively trying to distance themselves from someone who was once considered a central figure in the British establishment. Clearly, the stakes are incredibly high, and whatever these documents contain, they're expected to be pretty explosive.
