Duke has snatched the top spot in my latest College basketball rankings, and honestly, it's well-deserved. Their gritty win over Michigan last week, a real testament to their defensive prowess, cemented their position. I can already picture the potential rematch in March – a matchup that would be an absolute barnburner for fans.

However, this past week wasn't all about thrilling victories. Injuries are starting to pile up, casting a shadow over several teams. Texas Tech took a major hit with JT Toppin's season-ending ACL tear. That's a devastating blow for them. BYU will also be without Richie Saunders for the remainder of the year. North Carolina is still missing Caleb Wilson, and Arizona's Koa Peat is nursing a leg injury. Luckily, both are expected back soon. It just goes to show you how fragile championship hopes can be; health is paramount at this stage.
So, without further ado, here's my updated Top 25 as of February 22nd. Remember, these rankings are a snapshot in time, and things can change quickly in the world of college hoops.
Now, before anyone asks, let me address the elephant in the room: Miami (Ohio). They're the only undefeated team in the nation. A tip of the hat to Coach Travis Steele and his squad, truly. I respect their achievement immensely. Undefeated is undefeated, after all. But a 295th-ranked strength of schedule? I just can't justify putting them in the Top 25 right now. I'm rooting for them, I really am, but they're just outside the bubble for now.
Wisconsin bounced back nicely after a loss to Ohio State, taking down Iowa. Senior guard Nick Boyd absolutely lit it up, outshining Iowa's Bennett Stirtz with a monster stat line: 27 points, nine rebounds, and 10 assists. That's the kind of performance that earns you a bump in the rankings.
Even with the crushing news of Richie Saunders's ACL tear, BYU has managed to win three of their last four, including a huge home win against Iowa State. Freshman AJ Dybantsa is proving to be a force to be reckoned with. 29 points, 10 rebounds, and nine assists? The future is bright in Provo.
North Carolina's 24-point drubbing at the hands of NC State was…ugly. Playing without Caleb Wilson and Henri Veesaar certainly didn't help. Both are expected back soon, so I'm not hitting the panic button just yet. But they need to finish strong to maintain their seeding.
Tennessee is surging, winning four straight and eight of their last nine. They've completely erased that shaky 12-6 start. That backcourt duo of Ja’Kobi Gillespie and forward Nate Ament is causing serious problems for opposing defenses.
Arkansas suffered a tough loss to Alabama earlier this week. They're a talented team with some impressive wins, but that lack of consistency – no winning streak longer than four games all season – is holding them back.
Texas Tech’s loss at Arizona State was compounded by the devastating loss of JT Toppin. They are not the same team without him. They're still good, mind you, but no longer in that elite Final Four conversation, in my opinion.
Alabama, after some early-season hiccups, seems to have found its groove. I...
