College basketball fans, get ready! This Saturday is shaping up to be an absolute barnburner, with some seriously juicy matchups that could have major implications for tournament seeding. And lucky for us, hoops analyst Sammy P is here to break down the best bets, so we can all feel a little more informed (and maybe a little richer!) come Sunday.

2026 March Madness?! Shocking Odds For Michigan-Du...

The schedule is packed, no doubt about it. We're talking 20 of the nation's top 25 teams hitting the hardwood. But the headliner? It's gotta be No. 1 Michigan squaring off against No. 3 Duke in Washington D.C. But don't sleep on No. 2 Houston hosting No. 4 Arizona – that one’s gonna be a slugfest. And then there's No. 6 Iowa State heading to Provo to face a feisty No. 23 BYU squad. Let's dive in!

Sammy P's got his eye on that Michigan-Duke game, and his take is interesting. "Both defenses are elite," he points out, "and given the game is being played at Capital One Arena with tighter rims, I do lean Under 149." Makes sense, right? Less scoring, more grind. He's leaning towards Michigan, though, saying they're "a more complete basketball team." He's laying the points and taking the Wolverines. But get this: Sammy P is also keeping a close eye on Duke. "That said, if Duke does lose this one, I’ll be looking to buy some Blue Devils’ national title stock at 7-1 or higher." Translation: he sees value in a potentially undervalued Duke team. Smart.

Speaking of value, let's head to Chicago. Sammy P is high on what Chris Holtmann is building at DePaul. Remember how awful they were just a couple of years ago? "The Blue Demons are certainly building something under head coach Chris Holtmann. DePaul went 3-29 two seasons ago, 14-20 in Holtmann’s first campaign last season and are 14-12 this year." That's a heck of a turnaround! He attributes it to a much-improved defense. The word is that they are no longer so easy to score on, thanks to the Blue Demons’ length and size around the rim. He likes DePaul to win, or at least keep it close. So DePaul (+1), according to Sammy P.

Finally, let's talk about Iowa State's trip to BYU. Sammy P cautions against underestimating the Cougars, especially after some road hiccups for the Cyclones. "Just ask Iowa State, a team that’s already slipped up at Kansas, Cincinnati and TCU in 2026. Most of us can make peace with a loss at Allen Fieldhouse, but the others are games you’re supposed to win." He’s right! He also highlights BYU's young talent, mentioning AJ Dybantsa and Robert Wright. "If they bring their A-game, though, look out." Sammy P likes BYU (+3.5) to keep it within striking distance, or even pull off the upset. I've seen those BYU kids play - they are tough, especially at home. This promises to be a great weekend of college hoops!
