Giuffre Family SHOCK: "He Was NEVER A Prince!" Andrew's Arrest Aftermath!
Current Affairs 19 February 2026

The family of Virginia Giuffre, a name synonymous with the Jeffrey Epstein scandal, has released a statement expressing profound relief following the arrest of Andrew Mountbatten-Windsor. For those who might not immediately recognize the name, that's the moniker the former Prince Andrew adopted after his brother, King Charles III, stripped him of his royal titles. The arrest, made on Thursday, Andrew's 66th birthday, is for suspected misconduct in public office, a development the Giuffre family clearly sees as a long-awaited step towards justice.

Giuffre Family SHOCK: "He Was NEVER A Prince!" And...

Giuffre, who tragically died by suicide in April 2025, at the young age of 41, was one of Epstein's most vocal accusers. She alleged that Epstein and Ghislaine Maxwell, currently serving a lengthy sentence for child sex trafficking, forced her to have sex with Andrew when she was just a teenager. Mountbatten-Windsor has, of course, consistently denied these accusations. I remember the initial allegations; they sent shockwaves through the royal family, and frankly, the world.

In a statement released by Giuffre's siblings – Sky and Amanda Roberts, along with Danny and Lanette Wilson – the family expressed their gratitude. "At last, today, our broken hearts have been lifted at the news that no one is above the law, not even royalty," they wrote. "On behalf of our sister, Virginia Roberts Giuffre, we extend our gratitude to the U.K.’s Thames Valley Police for their investigation, and the arrest of Andrew Mountbatten-Windsor. He was never a prince. For survivors everywhere, Virginia did this for you." It's a powerful statement, a clear indication of the family's unwavering belief in Giuffre's story and their hope for accountability.

Giuffre's allegations against Mountbatten-Windsor were at the heart of a 2021 lawsuit filed in New York. She claimed Epstein trafficked her to the former prince on multiple occasions, resulting in sexual assault while she was underage. While Mountbatten-Windsor denied everything, he did reach an out-of-court settlement with her in 2022, a move that many interpreted as an admission of guilt, however indirect.

The Thames Valley Police had previously stated they were looking into allegations that Epstein flew a young woman to the U.K. specifically to have sex with Andrew. The fact that this investigation has now led to an arrest is significant. King Charles himself has expressed "his profound concern at allegations which continue to come to light in respect of Mr Mountbatten-Windsor’s conduct." The palace has stated they're ready to support the police if approached, which, given the circumstances, seems likely.

While Thames Valley Police confirmed the arrest of a man in his 60s from Norfolk, they didn't explicitly name Mountbatten-Windsor, in accordance with standard British procedure. However, they pointed to their earlier statement when asked for confirmation, leaving little doubt as to the identity of the arrested individual. The arrest is a major development in a case that has cast a long shadow over the British monarchy, and it remains to be seen what the future holds for Mountbatten-Windsor.
