What makes Vista del Mar’s smash burger so special? Well, it’s the combination of fresh, high-quality ingredients and the satisfyingly flattened patties that create a crispy, flavorful crust. It's a perfectly balanced meal, leaving you feeling pleasantly full, not weighed down with grease and regret.

Naturally, I had to try it for myself. Opting for the full American experience, I went for the "Fully Loaded Smash." This behemoth consisted of two smash patties, a perfectly fried egg, sweet fried onions, a juicy pineapple ring (yes, pineapple on a burger!), cheese, a tangy gherkin, and crispy bacon. And because that wasn't enough, a generous dollop of burger sauce unified the whole towering creation. It was a sight to behold, I can tell you!

I initially attempted the noble feat of eating this masterpiece with my bare hands, but gravity, and the sheer volume of fillings, quickly won. Eventually, I shamefully, but pragmatically, resorted to a knife and fork as the soft bun struggled to contain the glorious chaos within. It was a delicious mess.

Vista del Mar’s smash burger is the kind of meal where you inevitably end up sporting smudges of sauce and cheese, no matter how meticulously you approach it. However, in this instance, I’m convinced it's a sign of immense enjoyment rather than a lack of table manners. Embrace the mess, I say!

Vista del Mar offers four tempting variations: Classic, Fully Loaded, BBQ, and Chili. Each burger is generously topped, making the €15.95 price tag feel justified. And the best part? Each burger comes with a side of chips, coleslaw, and salad – a welcome burst of freshness amidst the meat, grease, and cheese overload.

To be perfectly honest, my only slight disappointment was the size of the coleslaw portion. The tiny pot simply didn't cut it against the richness of the burger. However, the incredibly friendly staff were more than happy to bring me a complimentary second helping when I asked. Problem solved!

While definitely a one-off indulgence (my arteries may need a little break!), the meal itself was a thoroughly enjoyable experience. And let's be real, the stunning sea views, the glorious Spanish sunshine, and an ice-cold beer only enhanced the experience.
