TMNT Card SHOCKS MTG! Is This Artifact Deck's NEW Secret Weapon?!
Gaming News 18 February 2026

Okay, Magic: The Gathering has officially gone wild, and frankly, I'm here for it. The game's crossover obsession continues, and while some are still debating whether the 2026 roadmap is genius or madness, the new Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles set is already shaping up to be a potential meta-breaker. Remember the chaos caused by the Sonic the Hedgehog pairing with the Warhammer 40K Winged Hive Tyrant? Well, brace yourselves, because Krang might just top that.

TMNT Card SHOCKS MTG! Is This Artifact Deck's NEW ...

Let's talk about Krang, Utrom Warlord. This bad boy is a nine-mana investment, but what you get is a beefy 9/9 creature with Flying, Trample, Indestructible, and Haste. Individually, those keywords are fantastic. But the real kicker? Krang gives ALL of those abilities to *all* other Artifact Creatures you control. I'll give you a second to let that sink in.

And that, my friends, is where the Necron Dynasties deck enters the chat. If you’re not familiar, the Necron Dynasties is a preconstructed deck from the Warhammer 40,000 Commander set, and almost every single creature in that mono-black deck is an Artifact Creature. Picture this: You’ve assembled your Necron horde – maybe a few sneaky Canoptek Scarabs and a hulking Silent King – and then BAM, you drop Krang. Suddenly, your entire metallic army is flying, trampling, indestructible, and swinging *immediately*. Opponents will need to pack some serious removal to survive that onslaught.

I remember playing against the Necron Dynasties deck when it first came out, and even without Krang, it was a formidable opponent. It's already known for its resilient creatures and ability to grind out value. But Krang? Krang supercharges the deck into something truly terrifying. I'm honestly a bit scared to see what happens when people start optimizing this combination.

Now, granted, the Necron Dynasties deck is mostly found on the secondary market now, so acquiring it might be a bit of a hunt. But trust me, if you're a fan of artifact strategies or just love crushing your opponents with overwhelming force, it might be worth the effort. The Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles set hits shelves on March 6th, and preorders are live now. It’s going to be interesting to see if Krang, Utrom Warlord, becomes the new king of the Necron Dynasties... or just a fun, if slightly terrifying, addition to the arsenal.
