Volvo Car Turkey is set to welcome back Kubilay Polat as its new Customer Experience and Marketing Director, effective January 1, 2026. Polat, a seasoned automotive professional with a diverse background, returns to the Turkish branch after a successful stint at Volvo Cars EMEA headquarters.

For the past four years, since 2022, Polat has served as Regional Manager of Consumer Experience at Volvo Cars EMEA, a role that saw him oversee consumer experience initiatives across a broad geographical area. His responsibilities encompassed Turkey, alongside key European markets like Belgium, Denmark, Finland, Portugal, Switzerland, and Austria, as well as Central and Eastern European countries such as the Czech Republic and Hungary, and extending to Greece, South Africa, and numerous importer markets, totaling 36 countries. This extensive experience positions him perfectly to understand and cater to the evolving needs of Volvo customers in Turkey.

His career began in the finance sector at Garanti Bank, where he spent six years honing his skills. A desire to shift gears led him to the automotive industry, where he joined Doğuş Otomotiv before finding his niche at Volvo Car Türkiye in 2009.

During his initial tenure at Volvo Car Türkiye, Polat gained invaluable experience across various departments, including sales, product management, public relations, and marketing. This multifaceted background provides him with a holistic understanding of the business and the crucial interplay between these functions in delivering a superior customer experience. His transfer to Volvo Cars EMEA headquarters in 2022 further broadened his perspective and allowed him to contribute to the brand's global strategy.
