Trump Praised Epstein Arrest?! Ex-Chief's Shocking Claim!
Current Affairs 10 February 2026

A newly revealed FBI document from 2019 is shedding light on Donald Trump's alleged involvement and knowledge of Jeffrey Epstein's activities dating back to the mid-2000s. The report details an interview with Michael Reiter, the former police chief of Palm Beach, Florida, who was at the helm during the initial investigation into Epstein's crimes.

Trump Praised Epstein Arrest?! Ex-Chief's Shocking...

According to the FBI's summary, Trump allegedly contacted Reiter in July 2006, around the time the investigation into Epstein began gaining public attention. A source familiar with the timeline confirmed that the timing aligns with the initial probe into Epstein's disturbing actions. The Miami Herald first reported on the existence of the document.

The core of the report alleges that Trump told Reiter he had banished Epstein from Mar-a-Lago after discovering he was poaching employees from the club's spa. But the conversation reportedly went much further. Reiter's detectives, as many will recall, were investigating Epstein for allegedly recruiting girls as young as 14 for what were essentially sex trafficking operations disguised as massage therapy.

The FBI report quotes Trump as saying, "DONALD TRUMP told [Reiter] that he threw EPSTEIN out of his club. TRUMP called the [Palm Beach Police Department] to tell him ‘thank goodness you're stopping him, everyone has known he's been doing this.'" This is a pretty significant claim. It suggests Trump was aware of Epstein's predatory behavior long before it became a national scandal.

The report continues with even more damning details. "TRUMP told him people in New York knew EPSTEIN was disgusting. TRUMP said MAXWELL was EPSTEIN's operative, ‘she is evil and to focus on her.’" It seems Trump was pointing fingers at Ghislaine Maxwell, who is currently serving a lengthy prison sentence for her role in facilitating Epstein's crimes. Trump even reportedly told Reiter that he was once in Epstein's presence when teenagers were around and he "got the hell out of there." "TRUMP was one of the very first people to call when people found out that they were investigating EPSTEIN,” the report concludes. This paints a picture of someone who, at least according to this account, was trying to distance himself from Epstein while simultaneously claiming knowledge of his illicit activities.

Reiter, it's worth remembering, has been a vocal critic of the original handling of the Epstein case in Florida. He openly disagreed with the local prosecutor's decision to take the case to a grand jury instead of directly charging Epstein back in 2006. He later apologized to the victims and even cooperated with federal authorities, which ultimately led to another investigation. But that investigation, unfortunately, culminated in Epstein's controversial non-prosecution agreement in 2008 – a deal that many feel let Epstein off far too lightly.

This alleged account of Trump's call to Reiter, as outlined in the FBI document, is newly revealed. It remains to be seen what further implications this information will have, but it certainly adds another layer of complexity to the already disturbing Epstein saga and the powerful figures who were associated with him.
