PlayStation State of Play: Hour of Shocking Game Reveals Incoming!
Gaming News 09 February 2026

Well, folks, it's happening again. PlayStation has just dropped the news: we're getting a brand-new State of Play this week. Mark your calendars, clear your schedules, and stock up on snacks because this one's looking like a doozy. They're promising over an hour of reveals, updates, and gameplay, which, let's be honest, is practically an eternity in gaming news time.

PlayStation State of Play: Hour of Shocking Game R...

The broadcast is scheduled for this Thursday, February 12th, at 2 PM Pacific, which translates to 5 PM Eastern for those of us on the right coast. You'll be able to catch all the action on PlayStation's usual haunts: their official YouTube and Twitch channels. I'll be glued to my screen, controller in hand, ready to jump into whatever hype train pulls into the station.

Of course, the big question on everyone's mind is: what are we going to see? The official announcement is playing it coy, but that hasn't stopped the rumor mill from churning. On the first-party front, my money's on seeing more of Housemarque's "Saros." It was recently delayed to April, so they'll likely want to reassure fans that it's still on track. And, naturally, everyone's hoping for another glimpse of Insomniac's "Marvel's Wolverine." The hype for that one is already through the roof, especially given how amazing their Spider-Man games have been. Set in the same universe? Yes, please!

Third-party publishers always bring the heat to these events too. "Resident Evil Requiem" seems like a safe bet, given PlayStation's cozy relationship with Capcom. And, dare I dream, maybe we'll get a demo announcement? Capcom's been known to drop playable previews for their RE titles before launch. Remember the "Biohazard" demo that scared the pants off everyone? Good times. They could also give us another look at "Pragmata," which is still set to arrive in April. But honestly, with an hour to fill, I'm expecting a whole host of smaller indie games to make an appearance too. These State of Plays are also good for uncovering interesting gems, so I'm hoping for a few surprises.

Honestly, an hour is a long time in showcase land, so this State of Play has the potential to be a really significant one for PlayStation this year. It certainly sounds like they're pulling out all the stops. Now, if you'll excuse me, I need to start preparing my snacks and clearing my schedule. Thursday can't come soon enough!
