Lady Gaga's Pokémon Obsession REVEALED! Super Bowl Ad Shocks Fans!
Gaming News 09 February 2026

Well, folks, the Pokémon Company didn't disappoint! During the Super Bowl, they dropped their highly anticipated commercial, and it was a fun little peek into the Poké-preferences of some pretty big names. Forget the touchdowns for a minute, we're talking Jigglypuff and Psyduck here!

Lady Gaga's Pokémon Obsession REVEALED! Super Bowl...

The minute-long ad was a charming who's-who of celebrity Pokémon enthusiasts. We got to see Lady Gaga (naturally) profess her love for Jigglypuff, even humming a bit of that iconic lullaby. Trevor Noah’s a Psyduck guy, which, let’s be honest, is pretty relatable. Formula One’s Charles Leclerc reps Arcanine, and BLACKPINK’s Jisoo is all about Eevee. Rounding out the crew, Maitreyi Ramakrishnan (from "Never Have I Ever") is a Luxray fan, Spanish football star Lamine Yamal chose the legendary Zygarde, and rapper Young Miko is all in on Gengar. It's a diverse lineup, reflecting Pokémon's global reach.

One thing that jumped out at me? No Pikachu, except for a logo flash. Seems like they're going for something a little different this time around. The ad wraps up with a simple yet effective question posed by the celebrities: "What's your favorite?" It’s a great way to kick off what’s shaping up to be a year-long celebration of all things Pokémon for their 30th anniversary.

But the Super Bowl ad is just the start. The Pokémon Company isn’t holding back. They're launching a new camera feature in Pokémon GO, timed with the game's tenth anniversary, allowing players to get in on the "What's your favorite?" action. Plus, they've announced "Day Out" and "Night Out" experiences – daytime events for families and nighttime gatherings for us "OG" Pokémon trainers who grew up with the games back in the '90s. I'm definitely interested to see what the "Night Out" events entail! Think themed cocktails and Pokémon trivia? Sign me up!

And of course, you can expect the usual celebratory merchandise: themed Trading Card Game (TCG) sets and Pokémon LEGO sets have already been announced. It's all part of building the hype for this milestone anniversary.

Historically, Pokémon Day (February 27th) is when we get a big info dump during the Pokémon Presents showcase. I'm betting we'll hear about some exciting stuff: new video game announcements (fingers crossed for a Black and White remake or even Gen 10!), details on upcoming TCG expansions, and maybe even some surprises. Some fans are hoping classic titles will finally make their way to Nintendo Switch Online. The possibilities are endless, and the excitement is palpable. It’s going to be a fun year to be a Pokémon fan.
