The Costa del Sol isn't just about sunshine and beaches; it's a community, and when one of its own needs help, that spirit really shines. And right now, all eyes are on Princess Lara the Cute, a young girl whose infectious smile and indomitable spirit have won the hearts of everyone who meets her. I've seen firsthand how this community rallies, and it's truly something special.
Critical Fundraiser Needed! Can Community Save Pri...
Lara, as she's affectionately known, lives with Beals Syndrome, a rare connective tissue disorder that throws a lot of curveballs her way. We're talking brain malformations, mobility issues, respiratory complications, and a generally weakened immune system. Life hasn’t been easy for this brave little fighter.
Adding to her challenges, Lara is also a cancer survivor. In 2021, she underwent life-saving spinal surgery in Barcelona, where growth bars were implanted. But her journey isn't over. She now needs further procedures, including extending those bars and foot surgery, to alleviate pain, prevent further damage, and improve her ability to walk. The complications are significant, especially concerning anaesthesia, often requiring combined operations to minimize risk. It's a lot for anyone, let alone a child.
That's where Restaurante Sierra de Águila steps in. On Wednesday, February 4th, starting at 1 p.m., they're hosting a special charity luncheon fundraiser to support Lara's ongoing medical needs. The restaurant is generously offering a delicious three-course meal, complete with wine, beer, or soft drinks, for €50 per person. And trust me, knowing the Sierra de Águila, the food will be fantastic. Plus, you'll be serenaded by live music from Ricky Lavazza, Laura Elen, and Emma Luisa – sounds like a lovely afternoon, doesn't it?
But it's not just about the food and music. The afternoon will also feature entertainment, a raffle, and an auction with some truly amazing prizes. All the proceeds, every single euro, will go directly towards Lara’s medical care, therapies, and those crucial improvements to her quality of life. It's a chance to not just enjoy yourself, but to genuinely make a difference. I'm hoping to snag a raffle ticket or two myself!
Spaces are limited, so if you want to attend, it's important to book as soon as possible. You can call 627 164 168 or 951 741 990 to reserve your spot. Let's show Princess Lara and her family the true meaning of community support. It’s an opportunity to celebrate her resilience and contribute through kindness and generosity. What better way to spend a Wednesday afternoon? And for those who can’t attend but still want to help, you can find more information on Lara and how to donate via the GoFundMe Link. Every little bit counts.
