February 2026 is shaping up to be an absolute avalanche of new games. Seriously, my wallet is already weeping. We're talking new releases, sequels we thought would never happen, and remakes that are either going to be glorious or… well, let's hope for glorious. Whether you're itching to dive back into classic fantasy worlds, or maybe unleash some genetically modified felines (I'm intrigued), there's genuinely something for everyone this month.
February 2026 Game Releases: You Won't BELIEVE Wha...
So, let's dive in and take a look at some of the most anticipated titles hitting PC and consoles this month. And for a more comprehensive look at everything coming down the pipeline in 2026, you might want to check out GameSpot's 2026 upcoming games calendar. They always do a solid job keeping track of it all.
First up, we have *Unemployment Simulator 2018*, releasing on February 3rd for PC. Now, I know what you're thinking: "2018? What's going on here?" It's not a typo. Apparently, this one's been in development hell for a while. And honestly, in a month already packed with horror titles – I'm looking at you, *Resident Evil Requiem* – *Unemployment Simulator 2018* might just be the scariest of the bunch. The premise is unsettlingly realistic: you're trapped in a tiny apartment in some unnamed Nordic country, grappling with the emotional and societal pressures of unemployment, all while trying to keep your bathroom from becoming a biohazard. Riveting stuff! You can find it on Steam.
Then, on February 5th, PC gamers can get their hands on *Menace*. With the future of the *XCOM* franchise currently shrouded in mystery, *Menace* looks like a pretty compelling alternative for fans of tactical, turn-based combat. You command a strike force of marines, mercenaries, and even criminals, making strategic decisions in a distant star system against a… well, a mysterious enemy. Classic! Tanks, walkers, infantry squads, resource management, black market trading – it sounds like a whole lot to sink your teeth into.
Also on February 5th, Square Enix is dropping *Dragon Quest VII Reimagined* on pretty much everything: PC, PS5, Xbox Series X|S, Switch 2 (yep, the rumors are true!), and even the OG Switch. Following last year's HD-2D remakes of the first three *Dragon Quest* games, they're jumping ahead to *VII*. This one boasts a new art style that's heavily reminiscent of Akira Toriyama's *Dragon Ball*. It's trying to modernize the classic JRPG while still keeping the core story and dark themes intact. Look, the original *Dragon Quest VII* was notorious for its snail's-pace gameplay, so I'm really hoping they've made some significant changes to improve the overall experience. Fingers crossed!
And finally, for all you anime fans, February 6th brings *My Hero Academia: All's Justice* to PC, PS5, and Xbox Series X|S. This 3D fighter covers the final arc of the anime and features a massive roster of heroes and villains. Build your dream team of three characters and switch between them in battle to unleash some truly devastating special attacks. I'm not the biggest anime buff, but even I have to admit, this looks pretty slick.
