UAE Fuel Prices SHOCK! Will Your Wallet Survive February 2026?
Current Affairs 31 January 2026

Well folks, there's a little bit of good news at the pump for those of us living in the UAE! The Emirates just announced their fuel prices for February 2026, and it looks like we're all going to be saving a few dirhams next month. Not a huge windfall, mind you, but every little bit helps, right?

The official announcement confirms a slight decrease across all petrol variants, as well as for diesel. This means that whether you're filling up your fancy Super 98 or opting for the more economical E-Plus 91, you'll be paying less come February 1st. Diesel users, including businesses and those with larger vehicles, will also see a slight reduction in their fuel costs.

So, what are the specifics? Super 98 is dropping to Dh2.45 per litre, down from Dh2.53. Special 95 will cost Dh2.33 per litre, a decrease from Dh2.42. E-Plus 91 will be priced at Dh2.26 per litre, reduced from Dh2.34. And finally, diesel is going down to Dh2.52 per litre, a slight dip from Dh2.55. Again, these prices apply nationwide, so you can expect to see these changes at all fuel stations across the UAE.

Now, it's important to remember that fuel prices in the UAE aren't set in stone. They're reviewed and adjusted every month, and these changes are typically reflective of movements in the global oil market. This latest decrease seems to be a continuation of the slight easing we saw at the beginning of the year. I've noticed some fluctuations myself, filling up my own car. It's nice to see a downward trend for a change!

While these savings might seem marginal – we're talking about mere fils per liter here – they can add up over time, especially for those who drive a lot. Think of it as a small bonus in your pocket, or maybe just enough to justify that extra karak tea on your next commute. It's a welcome change regardless. Let's hope this trend continues, eh? I'm sure our wallets will thank us for it.
