Cristiano Ronaldo keeps doing what Cristiano Ronaldo does: score goals. He found the back of the net yet again, and Joao Felix turned orchestrator, as Al-Nassr cruised to a comfortable 3-0 victory over Al-Kholood, marking their fourth straight win in the Saudi Pro League.

This victory means Jorge Jesus's squad remains hot on the heels of league leaders Al-Hilal, sitting just three points behind. The Portuguese connection, spearheaded by the ageless Ronaldo and the dynamic Felix, is proving absolutely vital to Al-Nassr's title aspirations. Ronaldo, at 40 years old, opened the scoring with a poacher's finish, while Mohamed Simakan later headed home a perfectly delivered corner from Felix. Kingsley Coman then added the final flourish from the penalty spot to seal the deal.

Now, Al-Kholood, to their credit, put up some resistance initially. John Buckley deserves a mention; he bravely blocked a goal-bound shot from Ronaldo in the first half, deflecting it just over the bar. They even thought they'd caught a break when a Sadio Mane goal was ruled out for a tight offside call – Felix was deemed marginally offside in the buildup. These moments can change games, but Al-Nassr were relentless.

The second half? It was all Al-Nassr. Within two minutes of the restart, Ronaldo broke the deadlock. Felix, exhibiting his vision and positional awareness, once again exploited the space behind the Al-Kholood defense, neatly beating the offside trap before squaring the ball for Ronaldo to tap into an empty net. Textbook stuff, really.

That was Ronaldo's 17th Saudi Pro League goal of the season, putting him just one behind the current top scorer, Ivan Toney. And, get this: it was the 961st goal of his incredible career. The guy's a machine! It feels like every week we're reporting some new milestone or record for him.

Almost immediately after, Al-Nassr doubled their advantage. Simakan rose highest to powerfully head home another pinpoint delivery from Felix, securing the 26-year-old's second assist of the match. From that point onwards, there was a palpable sense that the game was over. Al-Kholood struggled to string together any real attacks, and their spirit seemed broken.

To add insult to injury, Al-Kholood's captain, Hatan Bahbri, was sent off late in the game. A VAR review caught him elbowing Simakan off the ball, resulting in a straight red card. Not exactly what they needed to get back into the match.

While Ronaldo bagged a goal, it was really Felix who stole the show. He was the architect, pulling the strings and dictating the tempo for Al-Nassr. Besides his two assists for Ronaldo and Simakan, Felix created chance after chance, and he even set up Mane from that (controversially) offside position earlier in the match. The Al-Kholood defense simply had no answer for him. He even tried an audacious rabona shot just after the hour mark, which the keeper did well to tip over the bar. He just oozed class and creativity; a joy to watch when he's in this kind of form. Al-Nassr certainly seem to have found a winning combination, and with Felix and Ronaldo linking up like this, Al-Hilal will know they're in for a real title fight.
