Golden Globe nominee Melissa George has a new team member in her corner! The Aussie actress, known for her captivating performances, has officially signed with Conway van Gelder Grant (CVGG) for representation. This is a pretty significant move in the industry, and should allow her to get some more high profile roles.
Melissa George's SHOCKING Career Move: What Will H...
Sources are confirming that John Grant and Kat Oliver at CVGG will be spearheading her representation. It's a strong pairing, and I'm excited to see what projects they bring her way. This kind of change often signals a new phase in an actor's career, a push for different or perhaps even more challenging roles.
Now, before everyone starts panicking, George isn't completely overhauling her entire team. She's still working globally with Inspire Entertainment, and will continue to be managed by Sue Muggleton at Cameron’s Management. She also has Mitch Smelkinson at Goodman, Genow, Shenkman, Smelkinson & Christopher handling business. So, it seems like she's strategically building a powerhouse team around her, which is definitely a smart play.
If you're not familiar with George's work, you're missing out. She's got a pretty impressive and diverse resume. Remember Apple TV+'s "Mosquito Coast"? Or the Netflix series "The Eddy"? She was fantastic in both. And let’s not forget her role in Hulu's "The First." Plus, she won a Logie Award – that's like the Australian Emmy, for those not in the know – for her role in "The Slap" on ABC. She was so good, they even brought her back for the NBC adaptation a few years later. I personally loved her in "The Slap"; that show was seriously intense!
Her big screen credits are equally noteworthy, ranging from the thoughtful drama "Peaceful," to the classic crime thriller "The Limey," and even dipped her toes into horror with "The Amityville Horror." The point is, she's incredibly versatile, and can handle just about anything thrown her way. CVGG is a great fit for her, and I can only imagine where this collaboration will take her career. Keep an eye out for more from Melissa George - I have a feeling we're going to be seeing a lot more of her in the coming years. Stay tuned!
