The pressure's on to keep the momentum going.

So, what's on the horizon? A whopping seven sets are slated for 2026, with four falling under the Universes Beyond umbrella. The burning question is: can they recapture the Magic of Final Fantasy, or will they stumble like Spidey? And perhaps even more importantly, can the three "in-universe" sets hold their own against fan favorites like Tarkir: Dragonstorm and the recent Edge of Eternities?

The year kicks off with a bang, a return to the fan-favorite plane of Lorwyn! This Universes Within set also marks the debut of the intriguing "Draft Night Box," a new way to experience limited play. And for the Commander crowd, rejoice! Two new Commander Decks are on the way: "Dance of the Elements" and "Blight Curse," both available for preorder now. Sounds like a perfect start to the year if you ask me.

Cowabunga, dudes! The Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles are officially joining the Magic multiverse. Wizards of the Coast unveiled the set at Comic-Con New York, promising a vibrant, action-packed experience with new art of the heroes and their iconic villains. They're even throwing in a "Turtle Team Up" co-op game mode. Preorders are live, including a five-color Commander deck featuring all four Turtles. I’m particularly excited about this one; the potential for flavorful gameplay is huge!

Don't forget, preorders are also open for the full Secrets of Strixhaven set, which includes five Commander decks that some say are reminiscent of Tarkir Dragonstorm. So, if you’re looking for that old-school Magic feel, that may be a good one to keep an eye on.

Following Spider-Man's less-than-stellar debut, Marvel is getting another shot with a full-fledged Marvel set. This time, we're getting comic book versions of iconic characters like Iron Man, Black Panther, and the Fantastic Four. The hope is that a broader range of heroes and villains will make this set more engaging. Boosters, bundles, four Commander Precons, and even a new Beginner Box are available for preorder ahead of the June 26th release. Fingers crossed this one sticks the landing!
