ITV's "Saviour": New Legal Thriller Cast REVEALED! You Won't Believe It!

ITV is gearing up for a gripping new Legal Thriller, "Saviour," and the cast is already looking phenomenal. Aidan Gillen, the man we all loved (and loved to hate) as Littlefinger in "Game of Thrones," is leading the charge alongside Anjli Mohindra of "Bodyguard" fame and Shaun Parkes, most recently seen in "Death by Lightning." This isn't your average courtroom drama; this promises to be something with serious edge.

ITV's "Saviour": New Legal Thriller Cast REVEALED!...

Word of the project first broke in December via Deadline, and now we're seeing the pieces really falling into place. Production is set to kick off in Liverpool, a city increasingly becoming a hub for quality UK television. Drama Republic, the production house behind hits like "Steal" and "One Day," is at the helm, so expect a polished and engaging product.

The series is being co-produced by Nisha Parti's Parti Productions, which is known for bringing diverse and compelling stories to the screen. What's really interesting is the involvement of Imran Mahmood, a criminal barrister who is also a novelist and screenwriter. You know you're getting authenticity when a legal expert is so heavily involved in the writing process. But perhaps the biggest name attached is Peter Moffat, the writer behind the American adaptation of "Your Honor," who's serving as executive producer. That’s a powerful combination of talent right there.

The storyline seems like a classic setup with a twist. Mohindra plays Indy, who's clearly going to be a force to be reckoned with. She's pitted against Detective Inspector Jon Creasy, played by Shaun Parkes, a dogged investigator who's not easily swayed. Gillen's character, Eddie, is where things get really interesting. He's fiercely loyal to his son, and seemingly willing to go to any lengths to prove his innocence, even if it means getting in the way of the investigation. Talk about moral ambiguity!

Beyond the main trio, the supporting cast is equally impressive. Abhin Galeya, Tobias Jowett, Nethra Tilakumara, Angus Wright… the list goes on! It’s clear ITV is investing heavily in bringing a believable and compelling world to life. All3Media International will handle the international distribution, meaning we can likely expect "Saviour" to find audiences across the globe.

The Liverpool Film Office's financial support through its Liverpool City Region Production Fund is also significant. It shows the growing importance of regional hubs for film and TV production, and it's great to see investment flowing into areas outside of London. With Matthew Patnick producing, and Leanne Welham and Annetta Laufer directing, "Saviour" is shaping up to be one of the most anticipated legal thrillers of the year. Personally, I can't wait to see how it all unfolds. Bring on the courtroom drama!
