Well folks, the rumors were true. Sony has officially lifted the curtain on the PlayStation Plus games coming our way in February 2026. And as predicted, boxing fans are in for a treat. *Undisputed*, the long-awaited return of licensed boxing to the gaming world, is headlining the lineup. It feels like just yesterday we were talking about *Fight Night Champion*, so it's definitely been a while!
PlayStation Plus: February's FREE Games Will SHOCK...
Before we dive into the new arrivals, a quick reminder to all you PS Plus subscribers: don't forget to grab January's freebies before they disappear on February 2nd. We're talking about *Need for Speed Unbound* (perfect for those winter nights!), the freshly "Rebrushed" *Disney Epic Mickey*, and the ever-charming *Core Keeper*. Get them while they’re hot!
Now, back to February's offerings. *Undisputed*, which initially landed on PC, PS5, and Xbox Series X/S back in October 2024, is undoubtedly the main draw. This game marked a significant comeback for licensed boxing after, let's be honest, far too long. I remember being pretty hyped about this one when it first launched. While it wasn't a knockout success across the board, it definitely scratched an itch for many boxing game enthusiasts.
IGN, in their review, gave *Undisputed* a 6/10, noting that while developer Steel City Interactive was "on the right track," there was still "a long road ahead." Hey, nobody's perfect, and getting back into the ring after a decade away is no easy feat. Hopefully, this PlayStation Plus release will give them the boost they need to keep improving the game.
But that's not all, folks! Joining *Undisputed* in February is *Ace Combat 7: Skies Unknown*. Originally released in 2019 for the PlayStation 4, this fighter jet game promises some high-flying action. I remember playing this one back in the day. It looked stunning, and the arcade-style combat was definitely a blast. However, like *Undisputed*, it wasn’t without its flaws. IGN's review called it a "great-looking arcade flight combat game" but pointed out its "weird and convoluted... story and poor communication of objectives," ultimately awarding it a 7/10.
Rounding out the February lineup is *Subnautica: Below Zero*. Now, this is a game I can personally vouch for! It's a fantastic open-world survival experience, and IGN clearly agrees, giving it a glowing 9/10 review. They described it as "another big, frosty bite of one of the best open world survival games to come along since the genre's inception." Even if it's not quite as massive as the original *Subnautica*, the reviewer mentioned that it's packed with so much "style and substance" that it's hard to find fault. If you're looking for something truly immersive and captivating, this one's definitely worth checking out.
And for those of you still catching up on last year's best games, don't forget to check out IGN's pick for the best PlayStation game of 2025, along with all of the year's other award winners. Happy gaming!
