Simpsons' Milestone! Noah Wyle, Boyz II Men & Bacon?! You Won't Believe It!
Gaming News 27 January 2026

Well folks, after all these years, “The Simpsons” is about to hit a truly mind-boggling milestone: its 800th episode. And in true Springfield fashion, they're celebrating with a guest list that's… well, quintessentially "Simpsons." Think quirky, slightly random, and definitely A-list.

Simpsons' Milestone! Noah Wyle, Boyz II Men & Baco...

Mark your calendars for Sunday, February 15th, because that’s when we’ll see the Simpson family head to the hallowed grounds of The National Dog Show in Philadelphia. Apparently, this isn't just about admiring adorable pups; they’re going to stumble headfirst into a "historical conspiracy adventure," according to the folks over at Entertainment Weekly. Knowing "The Simpsons," that could mean anything from battling secret societies to uncovering a forgotten cache of Krusty Burgers. We can only speculate.

Of course, celebrity cameos are as much a part of "The Simpsons" DNA as yellow skin and questionable nuclear safety protocols. Just last season, we had appearances from the likes of Lindsay Lohan, Viola Davis, Michael Keaton, and even Idris Elba. It’s almost easier to list the celebrities who *haven't* voiced a character on the show at this point. But for the big 8-0-0, they’ve really upped the ante.

This time around, we’re talking Kevin Bacon (always a good choice), Noah Wyle (of "ER" fame, naturally), and Questlove (because, why not?). But perhaps the most intriguing addition is Boyz II Men, who will be lending their legendary harmonies to a special rendition of the iconic "Simpsons" theme song *and* providing vocals for the closing credits. Seriously, imagine those silky smooth Boyz II Men vocals accompanying the rolling credits. It’s either going to be hilariously absurd or surprisingly moving, or both. I'm personally betting on both.

Now, it hasn't all been sunshine and Krusty Burgers for the show recently. Remember that whole Marge controversy last year? The internet nearly exploded when it looked like she was being killed off. And let’s not forget the permanent departure of another long-standing character (I won't spoil it for anyone who hasn't caught up). It's a reminder that even Springfield isn't immune to the tides of change... and social media outrage.

But despite those bumps in the road, "The Simpsons" shows no signs of slowing down. The show’s already been renewed through its 40th season, which means we’ll be seeing Springfield on our screens until at least 2029. And if that weren't enough, a second "Simpsons" movie is in development, slated for release on September 3, 2027. So, yeah, the Simpsons are here to stay. Get ready for another 800 episodes, folks.
