PlayStation Plus Leak! You Won't BELIEVE February's FREE Game!

Well, folks, the PlayStation Plus rumor mill is churning again. And this time, it looks like we might have a sneak peek at what Sony has in store for us in February. According to the ever-reliable (and sometimes spookily accurate) billbil-kun over at Dealabs, Undisputed, the licensed boxing game, is shaping up to be the main event in next month's PlayStation Plus offerings.

Now, if that name doesn't immediately ring a bell, don't worry. Undisputed is the return of licensed boxing to the video game world after what feels like an age – a whole decade, in fact, since EA’s Fight Night Champion graced our consoles. I remember sinking countless hours into that game, so the pressure is definitely on Undisputed to deliver a knockout punch (pun absolutely intended).

While we're only hearing about Undisputed for now, it's highly likely that Sony will throw in a few more titles to sweeten the deal. Remember, the monthly games usually come in a pack of three, so we can expect a couple of surprise additions to keep us busy throughout February.

For those who might be itching to download something new right now, don't forget that January's PlayStation Plus games are still up for grabs. We're talking about Disney's Epic Mickey: Rebrushed, Core Keeper, and Need for Speed Unbound. That's a pretty decent selection to tide you over until the February lineup drops. I've personally been enjoying the updated Epic Mickey, a charming blast from the past.

Now, about Undisputed itself… the game launched in October 2024 for PC, PlayStation 5, and Xbox Series X/S. Reviews have been… well, mixed. IGN's Tom Phillips (who you can find on Bluesky at @tomphillipseg.bsky.social, by the way) gave it a 6/10, noting that while the game's approach to boxing is promising, it still has a "long road ahead." So, it seems like we're looking at a game with potential, but perhaps not a flawless victory right out of the gate. Still, free is free, right? And who knows, maybe a bit of time and a PlayStation Plus boost is just what Undisputed needs to find its footing.
