Nurse Fired After Leavitt Pregnancy Post?! You Won't Believe Why!
Current Affairs 24 January 2026

Folks, you just can't make this stuff up. In today's "hold my kombucha" moment, a Florida Nurse is out of a job after posting a truly disturbing TikTok video targeting White House Press Secretary Karoline Leavitt. Apparently, wishing someone a rough childbirth is a *major* no-no. Who knew?

Nurse Fired After Leavitt Pregnancy Post?! You Won...

The Nurse in question, Lexie Lawler, worked as a labor and delivery nurse at Baptist Health Boca Raton Regional Hospital. In the now-deleted (but of course, screenshotted and re-uploaded everywhere) video, Lawler reportedly expressed a desire for Leavitt to experience a "fourth-degree tear" during childbirth. And, shall we say, her language didn't exactly exude the caring and compassionate bedside manner one might expect from a medical professional. I’m not going to repeat the exact phrase here, but it was... graphic. Let's just leave it at that.

Now, let’s be clear: political opinions are one thing. We all have them. But wishing someone severe medical complications during what should be a joyous and vulnerable time? That crosses a line. Social media, in all its glory and horror, has a way of amplifying these situations. And, predictably, the internet exploded.

The backlash was swift and fierce. People from all corners of the political spectrum condemned Lawler's comments. Many called for her medical license to be revoked, citing concerns about her ability to provide unbiased care. Even conservative commentary account Libs of TikTok weighed in, calling the situation "Terrifying," and highlighting the fact that this individual "DELIVERS BABIES." The hospital was also flooded with messages, with many asking how they could possibly employ someone with such apparent animosity.

Baptist Health acted quickly. Patty Abril, director of media relations and strategic communications at Baptist Health, confirmed to Fox News that Lawler is no longer employed by the hospital. "The comments made in a social media video do not reflect the values of our organization," Abril stated. I suspect that's putting it mildly. Honestly, I can't imagine what the hospital board meeting was like after this little episode.

The whole situation is just a stark reminder that what you put on the internet is forever. It also highlights the importance of maintaining professionalism, even when expressing personal opinions online. Especially when you're in a position of public trust, like a nurse. I mean, come on, folks. Think before you TikTok! This nurse’s momentary lapse in judgment cost her dearly, and rightfully so. Hopefully, this serves as a lesson for others to keep their personal (and frankly, disturbing) wishes to themselves.
