Okay, folks, hold onto your Dundees because it looks like Scranton's finest are about to drop into the Fortnite island! Ahead of their official release later tonight, we're getting our first, glorious peek at what Michael Scott and Dwight Schrute will look like in the game. And let me tell you, Epic Games did not skimp on the details.
Michael Scott & Dwight Schrute in Fortnite?! You W...
For Dwight, it’s pure Schrute Farms gold. You can choose to rock his classic suit jacket look or ditch it to reveal a very important accessory: a holster. And what’s in the holster? A banana, of course. Because what’s a beet farmer without a potassium-rich snack? But the real kicker? Dwight’s got a skin mask option. Yes, the infamous CPR dummy face from that one episode where he...well, you know. It’s horrifyingly perfect. And speaking of CPR, the faceless CPR dummy itself serves as Dwight’s back bling. I have to admit, that’s a touch on the macabre side, even for Fortnite.
Michael Scott, on the other hand, brings the motivational speaker vibes. His backwear? A massive "World's Best Boss" mug. You can practically hear him yelling "That's what she said!" just looking at it. Accessories are equally on point, with Dwight's Broom-Stake and Michael's Dundee award statue both serving as pickaxes. But the true genius lies in the emotes. We're talking Dwight’s convertible, complete with him yelling through a megaphone (dialogue included!), and Michael's Scarn dance. My god, the Scarn dance in Fortnite. The sheer comedic potential is off the charts.
The buzz around this crossover has been building since Epic Games teased it earlier this week with a cryptic "Build. Beets. Battle Royale." social media post. The fans, naturally, went wild. And now, thanks to some skillful data miners like ShinaBR, we've gotten a sneak peek at all the skins and goodies before they even hit the Item Shop. You can see some of ShinaBR's leaked images embedded above; be sure to check them out. It really does look as good as it sounds.
Fortnite has been on a crossover spree lately, haven't they? Since launching Chapter 7 with that massive "Avengers: Endgame" event, we've seen skins for Kim Kardashian, characters from "Bleach," and even the guys from "South Park." And apparently, Ed from "Ed, Edd n Eddy" is slated to join the fray next week. Talk about a diverse roster!
In other Fortnite news, today also marks the launch of the 3v3 "Fall Guys"-inspired basketball mode, Crown Jam. So, if you need a break from trying to snipe people as Michael Scott, you can always hoop it up for a limited time. It feels like Fortnite is trying to be all things to all people, and honestly, I’m here for it. Now, if you'll excuse me, I have a Scarn dance to practice.
