Busfield surrendered to Albuquerque police on January 13th, a few days after an arrest warrant was issued. He appeared briefly in court the next day and is currently being held without bond at the Bernalillo County Metropolitan Detention Center. Adding to the fallout, his agency, Innovative Artists, has reportedly dropped him as a client.

Busfield, of course, maintains his innocence, though he hasn't yet entered a formal plea. A pre-trial detention motion hearing is scheduled for Tuesday, which will likely determine whether he remains in custody pending the outcome of the case. Back in July 2023, Busfield was announced as part of a pretty impressive supporting cast for *You Deserve Each Other*. The film is based on a popular novel, and with that cast, it had potential to be a real hit.
