Fenerbahçe Triumphs! Alanyaspor Crushed - Did You See THAT Goal?!
Sports 18 January 2026

Fenerbahçe snatched a hard-fought 3-2 victory away against Corendon Alanyaspor in a thrilling week 18 Süper Lig encounter. The win, secured after twice coming from behind, is a major boost to their title ambitions, especially with rivals Galatasaray dropping points earlier in the week. Talk about seizing the opportunity!

Fenerbahçe Triumphs! Alanyaspor Crushed - Did You ...

The match was a rollercoaster. Alanyaspor drew first blood early on, with Florent Hadergjonaj putting them ahead in the 3rd minute. Fenerbahçe responded, but Gaius Makouta restored Alanyaspor's lead in the 27th. It looked like a tough day at the office for the Yellow Canaries. However, Fenerbahçe dug deep, displaying resilience and determination that has been a hallmark of their season.

Anderson Talisca proved to be the hero of the day, bagging a brace (goals in the 9th and 78th minutes). His second goal, a late winner, sent the Fenerbahçe fans into raptures. Anthony Musaba also chipped in with a crucial goal in the 52nd minute, leveling the score at that point. The game was end-to-end stuff, a real spectacle for the neutral, but a nerve-wracking experience for supporters of both sides, I imagine!

With this victory, Fenerbahçe now sit on 42 points, breathing down Galatasaray's neck at the top of the table. This result puts pressure on Galatasaray to respond in their next match, turning up the heat in this already intense title race. Corendon Alanyaspor, on the other hand, remain on 21 points. They put up a good fight, but ultimately fell short against a determined Fenerbahçe side.

Manager Domenico Tedesco made a couple of changes to the starting lineup compared to their recent Super Cup victory over Galatasaray. Semedo replaced Levent Mercan, and Talisca came in for Duran. The tactical tweaks seemed to pay off, with Talisca proving to be the match-winner. It's always interesting to see how managers react to different challenges, and Tedesco's changes certainly had the desired effect this time around. It just goes to show that squad depth and tactical flexibility are key ingredients for success in modern football. The Süper Lig title race is well and truly on!
